Not that I know of for AOS, but we (and the people up to about a year before us) got stuck in a massive delay when we filed our I130s. There were people waiting for over a year just to be approved to apply for IR-1 CR-1 visas! And then we all got to NVC at the same time so it was another long wait!

Of course, that's probably the same backlog we're in now... I'm really glad this is the last major stage since there's no deadline on when to apply for citizenship!

Oh, yuck! (Our AOS went so quickly, but it was from F-1 already in country.) Yes, here's wishing for a smoother & timelier process for y'all who had such long waits before!!

I agree with Austincanada. I have no lawyer, but I think it is question of rights. If you legally comply with the 3-year period to gain citizenship, why do we have to wait longer because of USCIS inco

As you mentioned it, it's probably the same backlog we're in now! :cry: That explains why CSC has slowed down! :bonk:

It will only change when you get approved for the green card. So, basically it will stay like that for months. :D

I did last my biometrics last week and everything went smoothly, except for the DHS officer at the door.

As the letter stated, for "other applicants" i just brought my driving license / id card as identification to get in the San Francisco´s ASC.

The DHS officer asked for my green card and I told him I hadn´t brought it with me. I showed him the letter and pointed him the paragraph where it stated literally "all other applicants must bring a passport, driver´s license, national ID, military ID, or state-issued photo ID". He was very rude and said that I must always carry my GC with me for immigration purposes, but "I am going to be nice today and accept your ID". I apologized and told him I just followed the directions......

By the way, I renewed my driver´s license with the one year extension letter and my new expiration date is in 2020. I thought they were going to extend it one more year as well till I showed them my 10-years GC....Anyways, one problem less...

Finally, I got my Biometrics Appointment letter today in the mail, it was mailed on the 10/1/2016 and the appointment is for 10/19/2016, so it took 17 days to get to me, very odd. I have 1 days until my appointment, I am so happy I am almost free from USCIS
