I'm on mobile right now so can't update myself... But I did a walk-in and got my bio done! Yay! They gave me some grief about it and made me sit around for awhile, but they eventually let me get it done. So I don't have to cancel the lesson I'm booked to teach next week.

Oh, that won't work for me! :bonk:

If they make me sit around for a while, I may have to take the morning (4 hours) off and I don't want to do that! :dead:

I'll stick to my appointment date (next Wed), but I'm going there at 8am instead of 11am (so I can be at work by 10am)! :whistle:

I hope nobody give me grief since it's at least on the same day! :unsure: Fingers crossed! :star:

Biometrics done yesterday as scheduled. It went extremely fast, same facility but I noticed few changes, no security passing purse, wallets, etc through X rays machine (like at the airport) and the layout of areas where fingerprints and photos are taken also changed. Everyone was friendly and it was done in about 15 mins. Now crossing fingers that the next step won't take forever.

I know u meant mail LOL, but u need the letter for the barcode, they scan it for ur appt.

Bio complete, took longer to park than our appt.

Nice! Yeah, once you get in the cubicle, it takes no time at all!

Sure hope this part goes smoothly - I think all the people who got processed 2013/14 deserve a free pass this time around!

Was 2013/14 a particularly troublesome time period for AOS?

Not that I know of for AOS, but we (and the people up to about a year before us) got stuck in a massive delay when we filed our I130s. There were people waiting for over a year just to be approved to apply for IR-1 CR-1 visas! And then we all got to NVC at the same time so it was another long wait!

Of course, that's probably the same backlog we're in now... I'm really glad this is the last major stage since there's no deadline on when to apply for citizenship!
