I haven't received a status change but I did get confirmation from my congressman that my case files (both) are in Seattle.

I suspect that's what has happened to my case since it does state that my I-751 is at the local office.  :reading:

So it looks like USCIS is combining my I-751 & N-400 cases and they're both at the Seattle office now!   It just feels like it's taking forever though!

Let's see - I contacted him via an email form a few weeks ago (maybe late January, early February). He mailed me the forms to fill out and I sent those back. He contacted USCIS on Feb 15th and I received a letter yesterday with their response (via my congressman's office).

If you get your interview letter soon, I'm contacting my congressperson too!   We'll see!

I also got this update of my 751 being transferred to my local office on 2/24/2018,  but I really do not think it means anything, it is probably a glitch. Luckily for me, my 400 interview is in three weeks and I am so glad I applied for 400 while 751 was pending. There are folks who purposely did not apply for 400 in an attempt to avoid 751 being delayed and combined with 400, some of these folks are still waiting after 18 months of wait, it is insane. I am not telling anyone what to do, but if your end goal is 400, i would just apply for 400 while you are eligible despite the pending status of 751 since CSC 751 processing is highly unpredictable and unprecedentedly backed up, always look ahead and have a bigger picture. No matter what happens at the interview, someone will finally be there adjudicating my 751, hopefully, I will get both adjudicated, I will have additional ongoing evidence for my 751 and 400 ready too just in case if the officer needs it.(evidence collected post 400 filing to present, it is almost like a RFE handy at the office, lol). It does not matter about my 751 at this point as they have officially merged it with my 400. Good luck.

I don't know what's happening with my I-751 and/or N-400 since it's just taking forever!

It is looming, your update could come anytime. I think having applied for 400 with a pending 751 prompted them to schedule my interview. Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone,

New update: After a long wait, I finally got my permanent resident card yesterday in the mail.

On 2/23, 2018, i got an email saying that they ordered my new card.

On 2/27, another notification via email stating that they mailed my new card.

On 3/2, I got it in the mail.

I didn't file for N-400, and won't do it for a while. Personally, I don't have the rush to do it.

Could anyone please update my status in our forum? Thanks.

This thread has grown rather large, so it's now closed.  The continuation thread is here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/664464-i-751-august-2016-filers-part-ii/

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
