Hi all! Just joining this group now, after a long and stressful year and a half of waiting to hear back about the status of my case!

We filed August 15, 2016 and completes my bio metrics October 12th. We have not yet received any notifications or status updates as of right now.

Reading this thread was great to finally know there are others out there going through the same process and long wait!!

But it I am slightly nervous now, that many of the California filers like me are approved (yay!) but I am still waiting.

My reciept/application number is invalid when trying to enter to revive a case update!

Nope... no n-400... just the move. But I definitely could have sent more evidence, so who knows? I wouldn’t even mind getting an RFE. I just want to be back in control.

Maybe USCIS sent your 10-year Green Card to your old address in Portland?

I did the same thing yesterday, they said to expect a response by 17th next month. It will probably do nothing, but that is one of the few options available.

You mean you filed for Service Request online and you're going for an InfoPass appointment at your field office tomorrow!?  :wow:

You're right! I'll get on that too!

You mean you're contacting your senator and/or congressman!?  :wow:

With the slow and unpredictable speed that CSC is going, I am glad I applied for 400. Have to have a bigger picture these days dealing with USCIS and CSC.

I've applied for N-400 too!    But...it feels like eternity since it's taking forever!

Yes, I filed an online inquiry and going to the info pass tomorrow because I might run into a nice officer if there is a miracle. It feels like it is taking forever is caused by 751 being skipped. Sigh.

Just finished talking to an info pass officer. A waste of time as predicted, the officer told me what I already knew, my two applications are at NBC, and being merged two one big application, just have to wait for the citizenship interview. It is like talking to a so called tier 2 officer in person. Oh well, I took advantage of few options we have. I did my part, just need to keep waiting for my 400 interview. At least the officer was friendly.

I-751 NOA: August 31, 2016. No RFE. Been pending since then. California center

I applied N-400 in August 2017 Phoenix Lockbox (lives in Portland Oregon). My case(n-400) is in line for interview now.

An officer just told me when I called that my I751 file is still in California Center and is within processing time (Aug 20, 2016).

My question is, this processing time is as on October 31, 2017. It's been 2 months since then, how is it still within time? and why has USCIS not transferred my case to NBC since it is in line for interview now.

here is my answer. USCIS does whatever they feel like doing.  Don't try to understand it, it is what it is. You may have your I-751 accepted, or you may not. If it comes to processing time, well, they say it's as on  October, but it's actually as on the day they did update it. Good luck :)  Like i said , don't try to understand it :)

Not too likely - although as we all know, with USCIS anything is possible. My status online still shows "my case has been received" and not anything about the card, so the most likely thing is that either I'm on the bottom of the pile of someone who went to Aruba for Christmas OR they've sent an RFE and I haven't got it yet. Or, I suppose, I'm going to get called for an interview (hopefully in AZ but I guess if we have to go back to PDX for it my mother-in-law would be happy to see us!)

I did an Infopass in November to make sure that they had my correct address on file and it seems that they do, but we'll see! I sent letters to both senators and our congresswoman to see if they would get involved and find out what's going on.

Is your timeline updated?

I am really frustrated. my case was received on 8/17/2017. I saw so many people are getting approved these days but when I check case status it still says

Case Was Received

On August 17, 2016, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number WAC********, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by September 16, 2016, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Does it mean I will have to submit more evidence? should I make an appointment with infopass?

I had to update my address several times.  :bonk:  I'm not sure 100% if USCIS has my current address.

You sent a letter to your senators and congresswoman!? :wow:  I hope it makes a difference!  :dancing:

Congrats, I don't think I am going to ever get my 10 year green card because I applied for 400, but my goal is citizenship anyway and it will be my turn eventually, but just not anytime soon unfortunately, I would say next summer should be it.  Happy New Year to you too.

You may be done in spring since the LA office seems to be much faster than the Seattle office!  :star:
