No, they haven't updated their processing time to exclude you. Right now processing time has taken a step back and officially it's July. I'm thinking they found they missed some boxes of files. It's not a first in, first out process so I wouldn't worry. Your file is probably in a stack on someone's desk waiting to be processed :) Worst case - I think it'll be another 1-2 months for regular I751 filers.

Oh, Lord CSC is going beyond control. We paid for the same amount of money for the service. If Aug. takes 1 year and half, I'm wondering how long they gonna take for the later filers. It means the processing time will be pushed out more for the next month filer, and more for the next... It will exceed 2 years to process for most of the applicants filed in 2017 or later. I'm a December 2016 filer though, OMG. I can't imagine that.

Is the only way to expedite is to write to the senator?

Unfortunately that is so true, if CSC is stuck in August, that means the applicants like you who applied after August will all be affected by this unprecedented delay. Getting a senator won't hurt, but I am not sure it will move anything. I think based on the unpredictable nature of CSC 751 processing, it is probably a good idea to apply for 400 while you are eligible. There have been a good solid number of reports that USCIS combining the two during the 400 interview, almost like bypassing 751, but they still have to approve 751 by law. If I get 751 approved upon a pending 400, it will be a miracle for me. 751 CSC processing this year is a huge mess, we just have to have patience and survive it, I am just focusing on 400 since it will probably inevitably prompt CSC to eventually approve my 751, but I don't really need the 10 year green card anyway since I will have to surrender it after I become a citizen in a year or 5-6 months or so.

I contacted USCIS yesterday regarding my two pending cases... the officer said my Roc application is in NBC?!!!! does this mean it's definitely going to be combined with my N400 ?

Probably, but not definitely. It may have been transferred for some other reason... there is no "definitely" in this process.

It can mean USCIS just allocates workload and transfers CSC cases to NCS because if you look at the processing times list of forms, you'll see that NSC (Is that what you meant by NBC?) doesn't even process I-751 applications. Neither do they process N-400.

No, NSC is the Nebraska center... NBC is the "National Benefits Center" near KC MO. It's kind of like "head office". They don't officially process I-751s either, but some people's files randomly get rerouted there.

I just checked my case status online and it says new card has been ordered on December 14 2017. Any guess how long will it take to receive the actual card? I am traveling out of country in Jan for 30 days. I have I 551 stamped on my passport. I am guessing it should be fine if I receive the card when i am out of country and still use my 551 stamp at the immigration on my return? 

 

Also my case is not updated in the tracker, can someone please update it :)

Looks like the majority of the early August filers have been approved except me and a few here and there and a number of applicants that applied for 400 even though there aren't that many early August filers listed here. I have made an info pass appointment with my field office in Los Angeles on the 29th of this month, my 751 will probably be outside the normal processing times in 2 weeks. Not sure how much more I can find out, but it is worth a try. A friend of mine got lucky at a field office in NY, upon the 751 inquiry, the field office director actually told him to come back for an interview with his spouse while his 400 was pending, and he got his 751 approved the next day after the interview, not saying it is going to happen to me, but who knows? USCIS is highly unpredictable, and I got nothing to lose by making an info pass appointment before the year ends after waiting for my 751 nearly 17 months. Maybe at least they can confirm what is going on with my 751 as to whether it is being combined or what have you. I got nothing to lose by going to my filed office anyway.
