Your husband's school is absolutely committing an illegal act, they can not do it. I also go to school and registered for winter term a few weeks ago. I filed for ROC 9 months ago. I have not faced any problem since I filed for ROC.

Thank God! Hubby woke up at 7:00am and went in to see if he can get an appointment and they had one 8:00am open spots. He got the stamp. Now we are not even worrying about this card cause we file N400 last month and did Biometrics. Now we are waiting for 13 month!!!!

You could try a walk in, but it all depends on the office whether they will let him in. You can only register for Info Pass appointments, when they're booked, on weekdays. Keep trying to get an appointment. Check throughout the day, multiple times. If you try to go as a walk in, try first thing in the morning.

Thank you so much for your advice, we did and it worked! ! Hubby woke up at 7:00am and went in to see if he can get an appointment and they had one 8:00am open spots. He got the stamp. From my personal experience, it took them a month to make a decision after I had sent them RFE. Basically, your case is under review already and is pulled out from a shelf, so it shouldn't take long, just give them what they want and that's it.

I just think this data of processing time from visajourney is wrong. There is no way they are checking on September 29, 2016 when August people are dying here...

I checked on the I-751 September 2016 fillers and VSC is approving like a PRO.

I also checked the Fiscal Year 2017 4th quarter, it was update on 12/07/2017:

I-751

Received: 166,431

Approved: 89,001

I know is not good news but I'm just trying to figure it out what is going on.

Definitely timelines wrong, probably VJ is projecting on "as of today" based on the latest update from USCIS website which is as of 09/30/17. But it doesn't correspond with reality anyway.

Appreciate your kind words, the feelings are mutual! Yes, we are here to be supportive of each other, 751 processing will eventually be done, just a matter of time even though it feels indefinite, but we just have to be alert and patient. Almost there, maybe a few more months.

I agree if they are checking on 9/29/2016, there should be some early Sept. filers got approved already. Yet look at Sept. thread, only 1 had combined interview got approved. None of the other people are approved so far. The way CSC works on I 751 is unacceptable.

It's as normal as anything else in this process. Probably one of 3 options:

  1. You have been sent an RFE and just haven't received it yet.
  2. Your case has been sent to your local office for further review or an interview.
  3. Your case was on the bottom of the pile that somebody picked up, and they're working slowly, so they haven't got to you yet. Meanwhile, the next person picked up the next handful of files, (later dates than yours) and started working forward from there. Since the files are all paper, we know this must happen.

I know it's frustrating. Try to continue to be patient.

Is your timeline updated?

You mean the new processing date based on reports here by our fellow bloggers? The official CSC updated processing times are still at 7/27. It is not abnormal as the majority of August filers are still waiting, it is just moving very very slowly unfortunately. Watch the space, there might be a new update in the next couple of days, my guess is CSC will be at 8/10 or something. It is very frustrating that it seems to have slowed down since they got to August and then it went back in time for a week??LOL:unsure:  Oh well, I have literally given up my 751 because they probably have put mine on hold due to my pending 400, but for those of you who are just waiting for 751, it seems indefinite, it is just impossible to predict when CSC is going to start moving in a normal speed again. Fingers crossed, the goal post just keeps expanding.:( Maybe in general, it is just going to take 1 year and a half for August CSC filers, maybe it is more a realistic mental approach, just keep your hopes up and assume it is going to take about 18 months, that is only 2 more months, better days are coming, and if you get approved before that, it will be a pleasant surprise.
