Exactly, for the applicants whose ultimate goals are 400, 751 approval is just a mental relief because once we get naturalized, we have to surrender the 10 year green card again, so even if we get the 10 year green card, we will only own it for 6 or 7 months before we say goodbye to it. So the best way is deal with the whole process mentally is really to focus on 400. It takes my field office in Los Angeles about 9 months to process 400, and I have already waited for 4 months, so 5 more months, almost there. Fingers crossed to all of us.

I filed on July 15th, 2017. My Noa is August 3rd, fingerprint on Oct 13rd, not approved yet. 

It took a long time for them receiving my documents. I saw lots of people their documents was received a few days later after they filed. 

Now, I want to apply for N400, I don't know what should I start to prepare for documents and how to find the N400form and requirements for documents?

Not lately - although I remember a few people on an earlier thread (June, maybe?) mentioning it. We theorized that it was because of the 15 month thing, but to be honest, I would have thought we'd be seeing a lot more of them, if they don't "extend" the validity of the biometrics. It really hasn't been happening much, but I guess we'll see in the next couple of months.

You can probably apply online, or you can fill out the form. 

 

Required to send in at the time of application:

  • Copy of your greencard/i-551 stamp
  • Copy of Marriage certificate

Stuff you can send up front or bring to interview

  • Tax returns/transcripts for 3 yrs
  • evidence of name change (if you want a different name for your citizenship)
  • evidence of spouse's citizenship
  • marriage evidence (same kind of stuff from I-751 but for 3 yrs
  • evidence of any arrests/convictions
  • additional evidence you want to provide

I feel like am one of few unfortunate people who experience very slow and dragging immigration process since from the very start. We never even had RFE whatsoever at all. This is causing so much stress and negativity in my head. I wish this end already. I wish no one has to go through to this considering we pay so much. Is there a movement or something to change this sh***y system, I will gladly join.

I'm just like you! My NOA is August 1, 2016 CSC and I haven't heard anything since my fingerprint. My field office is Memphis.
