Isn't all correspondence from USCIS considered a "package"? It was sent priority mail and thats about as much as it says about it.

No, a lot of the notifications are just sent in envelopes, regular mail.

And yes, good detective work - an interview notice would almost certainly come from your local office (since they'd be scheduling it) so it could be an RFE or an approval (although I think those seem to be coming just as letters, and people can see them if they've signed up for "informed delivery on USPS).

I don't want to get your hopes up and then be wrong, but I think a package from USCIS really might be your new green card. Fingers crossed!

That is our biggest concern. Our case status hasn't updated and since the package is coming, we're scared its an RFE. Wouldn't the case status update if it were an approval and they sent the green card today?

Also, we are signed up for USPS informed delivery. It shows us our mail daily, but this one is under the Packages list.

I would imagine so, I am not of much help since I haven't been around in months. I even forgot my log in credentials for this forum!  I stopped checking my case status also a while ago, then I checked it yesterday to find out I was approved 4 days before and I had not idea. 5 days after approval they are sending me the card.  I hope what you are receiving is your card and not an RFE.  I recall receiving my 2yr card on a priority mail via USPS.

It never says approved - @wavj got their approval letter. Usually, they do update the system when the card is "in production" or "mailed to you". But not always.

I think your approval is right around the corner if you filed last August, but as long as you submitted strong evidence, i think you will get the approval without an interview, but if you get unlucky and get an interview, it won't be as scary as you think as long as you know each other and the marriage is real. You will be ok, my 751 will likely to be skipped over until my 400 interview, and i might have 2 on the same day, but i am not worried, we will be prepared. Keep us informed, i think your approval is looming! Watch the space! Good luck.

I filed last Dec. I estimate it will take another 5 to 6 months. I submitted joint tax return transcript for last 3 years, joint bank statement, joint health and auto insurance, survivor-ship, family cell phone bundle bill, photos, cards sent to us, etc. But my husband bought house many years ago even before we met, the mortgage and utility bill is under his name only. I'm worrying if that will cause an RFE as I didn't issue a letter explaining why I didn't include join mortgage or utility bill.

It sounds like your evidence is sufficient though, but you may or you may not get the RFE, good luck.

Nobody on the phone really knows anything. Not even tier 2. We just have to accept that. I've read numerous posts from people holding their approval letter in their hands and the tier 2 on the phone telling them that they weren't approved, so whatever they had couldn't be an approval letter. I mean, seriously, people?! You'll just have to wait and see what's in the actual envelope when you get it.
