No, the 90 day window is just a time to file early. You can file at 3 years minus 90 days from the original issuance of your original GC. You can file at any time after that. If you decide to file, it's a preference - not all countries allow for dual citizenships and not all people want to be USCs. We filed in July for naturalization. It seems that once you file, you'll wait longer - no I751/10 year GC but you'll go straight to naturalization. Whatever you choose, I wish you the best of luck!

Simple. The trend is if your ultimate goal is citizenship and you have high patience. I would file 400 whenever you are eiligible. You will probably go straight to citizenship with the possibility of dual interviews,  but if you are tired of waiting and want closure soon about your 751 for your piece of mind and do not mind waiting and enduring the unpredictable nature of CSC 751 processing, then wait until your 751 is approved. Good luck. I filed my 400 three months ago and have been in line for a 400 interview since 9/28th this year, I do not expect to be 751 approved until 6 some months from now. My ultimate goal is 400. My 751 has been pending for over 15 months.

Hello Peeps, am a September filer from September thread (CSC), frustrated with red vein-y eyes , came here to see your status.  Still waiting ha! Got it, need to be more patience now.  Taking too long feels like independent California separated from US? hahaha.

Nobody gets notification of the approval... we only get notified when the card goes into production, and/or when it was mailed. There have been a few people lately who got that notification before the approval letter was actually delivered, but that has more to do with the USPS than with USCIS.

Agree. Sorry meant to say getting say 'Card in Production' in My case Status webpage earlier than acceptance letter in mailbox. 

Anyway there was a person who got acceptance letter from VSC where his case was in CSC in July 16 filers, so was just wondering if they did any unofficial case transfer to VSC.

Approved today, had interview today with spouse after N-400 interview.  Asked basic questions of how we met, when we got married, have we ever separated, etc...  I provided updated information since we filed last year such as taxes, bank statements, and bills.  IO went over app and reviewed all documents approved and gave an approval letter. IO stated that we would not be issued a ten yr card due to citizenship.
