I think you sent your application on Aug 4 so you'll find out in the next two weeks if you're receiving a 10-year Green Card and the LA office is handling your case differently.  Fingers crossed!  

Thanks, finger crossed to you too. Yes, they recieved my 751 by August 8th, and i mailed in my application on August 4th. You raised the possibility of 400 being delayed due to early walk in, but you and i are both in line for an interview, does that mean they are done with biometrics and background check?

From what I read, it might delay your speed of receiving an in-line notification if you do an early walk-in biometrics (the same thing may apply to the I-751 application even though there is no in-line notification) since USCIS has to match your early walk-in biometrics with your original date.  

 

If you've already received an in-line notification, you should be okay!    Waiting continues....

Thanks. I did the early walk in, and i already received my in line notice a month ago, so i think we are ok! Waiting continuses for sure!!

I would say CSC has been more active than before in updating their processing timeline on their website. I think they will just update the timeline more frequently so applicants could file for the case outside of normal processing form online. Since we know their credentials and it is a proven fact that they have gigantic piles of documents, in my opinion, they revisit the cases when someone submits the "case outside of normal processing form" otherwise they don't care.

Thank you! it looks like it might be based on the NOA1 date, mine is 8/1, few days earlier, but my biometrics might be a little bit later than the two got approved... Vermont is way ahead of us! but hang in there, we are almost there!!!!

I suspect that both are a factor - and when you add in that some people provide so much evidence that it will take a long time to go through, some are going to get RFEs, some will be processed at the service center while others are sent on to the local offices, AND the fact that some individual workers probably work faster than others... we're all looking for patterns but there are so many variables that patterns are hard to find.

And yes, Vermont is way ahead of California at the moment - nothing much more to be said about that... but California does seem to be creeping forward, so hopefully we will all get our answers soon!

Hi everyone,

I'm I-751 Dec. 2016 filer, sorry to post here since I saw more experts had applied for N 400 and this thread is updated actively. (I did post in " About to file N 400 for marriage", if anyone can help answering the question there is appreciated too).

I'm preparing my N 400 filing and had forms filled out. Due to this year the unprecedented delay of CSC. I'm debating whether or not I should file N 400. As if I do so, the chance of being requested for ROC interview is much higher. Plz correct me if I put it wrong.

My question is:

Is 90-day window the only valid time frame to file N 400 based on marriage? After the 90th day, does the applicant have to wait until 5 year to file it again?
