I agree with Austincanada. I have no lawyer, but I think it is question of rights. If you legally comply with the 3-year period to gain citizenship, why do we have to wait longer because of USCIS inco

I'm not entirely sure. But keep in mind that these days, USCIS gets to all the files from a particular range of dates at the same time. So once they get to the files from August 8th, for example, that will be the first time anyone has opened those files since they were checked for signatures and payments. Then, once they're opened:

 

  1. They will be approved OR
  2. An RFE will be sent OR
  3. They will be forwarded to the local field office, where
    1. They will be approved OR
    2. An RFE will be sent OR
    3. They will send an interview request 

What this means is that those of us destined to get an RFE will likely get it after some of us have already been approved.

Yeah, I saw it a while ago it is a very good news for you and rest of the August-2016 applicants. I am praying CSC is pick up the pace now so they get to my file :) but I still have a few months to wait or longer. Regards

Assuming it seems to take about 1 year and 3 to 5 months for CSC filers to be adjudicated, and it appears to be that way. It is funny that by the time you get your 751 approval by next May or June(if you decide not to apply for 400 when 751 is still pending). I will probably be getting close to be N400 approved without a 10 year green card.:)  By next summer, I will have been waiting for my 10 year green card for almost 2 years knowing i would never get it because of the 400/751 combo. I can't wait to vote for next year's midterm election.
