Same here. Still waiting. I checked with the bank and they said the check has been cashed on 5th. And it has been 3 weeks since I sent the package. Hopefully they didn't lose it and ask me to resend everything. >

Quick question:

I'm planning to travel to Japan for 2 weeks this December. Is there anything else that I need to re enter USA besides NOA/expired green card/ i-51 stamp on passport? Do I need re-entry permit?

its been 2 weeks now, I might have to call USCIS for my NOA, same thing during my AOS, I don't get it.

You need just the NOA and expired green card or the i-51 stamp on your passport and expired green card, the NOA or the Stamps serves as entry permit, it has the same privileges as the valid green card.

It can take from 1-4 weeks to get NOA1. Your check being cashed is a good sign. After 4 weeks call USCIS and have them resend the NOA1

Got a question for you about this form though! For anything that didn't apply to you did you leave blank or put N/A? I'm freaking out because it looks like people do both quite often, and the instructions technically tell you to do so, and there's soooo many blank spaces (for me at least, no interpreter, no preparer, no kids, etc.) My husband is like "it literally doesn't matter" and I'm like "I just wanna know what everyone else did so that I feel less stupid." Sorry, and thanks

I'm copying and pasting the paragraph from https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-751instr.pdf. :reading:

Answer all questions fully and accurately. If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed. If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless otherwise directed.

However, I don't think you need to put "N/A" in every text field in the application (not 100% sure though).

For example, at "Part 5. Information About Your Children", I'd think if you put "N/A" at in the "Family Name" section; then, you can leave the "Given Name" and "Middle Name" sections blank instead of typing "N/A" in every text field. :yes:

Hi! I wrote N/A in every line, but just the first option each time (in child address for example I would write N/A on state but not on zip code. It might be overdoing it but I did it just in case after so many stories I heard back when filing the i-130! I honestly think they are not as strict with the i-751, though *phew*

I think in this case it would be ok to follow the form instructions to the best of your ability!

Hello everyone, my check was cashed today! (Or at least today it appeared as an electronic debit in my online banking activity). I read someone said they called the bank to ask if the check was cashed, did any of you do this? :huh: Not sure if today really counts as the "cashed" date :lol:

I'll update again when receiving NOA1 (hopefully before the 31st, which is when my GC expires!) :star:

My package was delivered to VSC on Aug 19 :yes:

Got my NOA today - it might have been sitting in the mailbox for a couple days... I don't know why, but I'm not feeling as deeply stressed about this phase as I was about the CR1 phase. I suppose that all might change if I get an RFE or something (heaven forbid) but I'm pretty confident all will go to plan this time around.

So I know that the NOA combined with the expired green card extends my status for a year, and that I need to keep the letter and the card together on my person to prove my status, if required. But do I need to start carrying the letter around now, or can I wait until my GC actually expires? I'm imagining just having the GC in my wallet for now is sufficient, and I'll put the letter in there when my card is actually expired. Thoughts?
