Hi there,

I've been reading this forum for a while and I have a question about biometrics. I submitted all my paperwork last year, got the notification August 4, 2016. I never received a letter to get my biometrics done. Is this normal? Back in November 2016, I went to the office and asked about it. They told me I didn't get a notification about doing biometrics "because my case had not been assigned yet". In January I sent an email to USCIS and I got a similar response. What do you guys think?

If you go in for an infopass, they'll get this sorted out for you. I didn't receive a biometrics letter either. I just went for an infopass 8 weeks after I filed my petition and asked if biometrics can be done then...and they got all done within 1 hour, no issues at all.

Thank you all for your answers. I will try once again and let's see what happens. Keep you posted!

We have 2 July filers that got approved on VJ, one is a late July filer, one early, two late July filers got a RFE and an interview notice. I think they are finally adjudicating July's applications. Fingers crossed.

Means the Tier 2 I talked to wasn't far off and it makes sense since they are processing 22nd, doesn't mean that 22nd is getting their approvals/comms as approvals/comms can take up to 30 days...

So I guess what the first officer told me could be true(I hope..obviously) that I might hear from them by mid Sept. We will see, if the processing times update in 2 weeks says July 22nd, it will have confirmed what the officer told you. Maybe we will be approved soon like in a month or 2.

The first tier 2 officer i talked to say i would hear from them by mid September, that is like 2 weeks from now. I think it is too good to be true, but we will see if that is the case, I am still lowering my expectations...

I remember a while ago an applicant got his or her senator involved and CSC responded said they had combined both to adjudication and sent it to NBC. Maybe an anomaly.. Anyway, I still think they will not necessarily combine the two for applicants like us, but you are right, we don't really need the 751 approval soon if our main goal is 400 approval.

Did you contact your senator or congressman for expediting your application?

If so, it makes sense that your case got transferred to NBC (if that actually happened)!   :star:

I might contact my senator by October. I don't think a senator will be able to expedite anything though. I am not even sure my 751 is really at NBC as every officer i have talked to all told me different stories, but it won't hurt to contact my senator or congressman. We will see.

Your biometrics might have been waved,  you can call and ask about it

I'm also a July filer! I have a quick question. So when I check my case, it says "On August 1, 2016, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received" blah blah blah..... is that how that should be? it never changed! We did the biometrics last October. I was wondering if there was something wrong; but I called, they said it is still within the processing period. Thanks!

Form I-130
9/9/2013: Married

10/21/2013: APPLICATION SENT

10/23/2013: NOA1

4/1/2014: NOA2

8/14/2014: Case Complete

10/20/2014: POE EXACT A YEAR!

Form I-751: Remove the Conditions on Residence

7/27/2016: Application Sent

8/1/2016: NOA1 - CSC

10/18/2016: Biometrics

12/1/2017: Received RFE

12/7/2017: additional evidence sent and delivered

2/2/2018: Green card mailed! Status changed!

Finger Crossed!
