So, @Zombie69's call triggered me to call to check on mine as well.

The officer was extremely polite and thorough. The gist of the call - and what I wanted to let everyone else know on the forum is that CSC is currently processing July 22nd, 2016 (as of today). There is light at the other end of the tunnel now I guess. He told me that they should get to mine within the next 2-3 weeks and if there are no complications I should hear back within 30 days from then. All in all, I should get some kind of communication by 51 days from now. :)

So, guys, keep it up, we're almost there. He also asked me if I wanted to know anything about my other application (which is N400), but I said no, it was just submitted so I don't think there's a lot more to know there. ;)

CSC is processing July 22nd from last year??? The officer told you that? If that is the case, that explains what our immigration officers told us!

Correct, thats what he told me. Since my receipt date is Aug 4th, it looks like they are about 2 weeks out - but no-one knows how long they will take to process those 2 weeks. :)

I just checked the "I-751 July 2016 Filers" thread.  It looks like only 3% of the applicants has been approved at CSC.

If USCIS is processing July 22, 2016 applications, I'd think we should see more approvals?  :huh2:

I don't know what to tell you, other than I'm relaying what I was told and the Tier 2 officer said "As of this morning CSC is working on July 22, 2016 applications - it can take up to 30 days to hear anything once they start processing your file" - I don't know where he got the date, but he was checking things so I'm sure he didn't just imagine this date. :)

Keep in mind, the people on this forum is only a tiny subset of the actual applicants. Those applicants you are referring to might or might not have been processed and might or might not be waiting for a letter for interview, RFE or approval. :D

I read somewhere that there were over 250k approved ROC's last year, thats like ~21k per month. Given that there are 65 applicants in the July thread that subset is like 0.3% :)

I understand.  :)

According to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do, here is the latest Service Center Processing Dates:

VSC: July 18, 2016 (as of June 30, 2017)

CSC: June 20, 2016 (as of June 30, 2017)   :wow:

Maybe the immigration officer you talked to had more updated info since June 30, 2017 is almost two months ago?  :huh2:

Let's hope so!      Fingers crossed!

I was looking at the reports on this page:

https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-studies/immigration-forms-data/data-set-all-uscis-application-and-petition-form-types

and the 2016 4th quarter report says that there were 144,648 applications received and 134,288 approved in the year of 2016.

In 2016, they were receiving around 35,000 - 36,000 applications per quarter and approving between 30,000 and 40,000 per quarter, so not much delay there.

Now, in the first quarter of 2017 they received 36,263 applications and only 23,829 were approved. 44,614 received in the second quarter and only 22,604 approved.

That is a major set back and clearly explains the slowdown.

If they go back to process around 35,000 apps per quarter, no further delays will occur. But if they keep the current pace of 22,000 per quarter, the forecast of 2 year turnaround time does not sound crazy anymore.

This seems to reflect major changes in USCIS priorities in 2017 and (not to get political) probably as a consequence of the election results.

I guess it is good news that they told us our time frame. You got 30 days, I got 17 days, sounds too good to be true, but why would they be so specific if it were not true. We shall see.

Starting from me perhaps, don't forget not all the applicants are members of VJ. We have two late July filers, one got RFE, one got an interview, one late July filer got approved, now me potentially in less than 3 weeks, and rerto in 30 days. I have seen the signs, but I remain cautiously optimistic, maybe you should have some faith, let's see what happens to me in 17 days as they told me!

It could be, it could have something to do with HI B and Trump's anti immigration policy/guidelines, but it was already slowing down for CSC before Trump took office, and VSC is still the same as last year, it was the CSC that started to delay in a very unprecedented way, it may or may not have anything to do with politics, who knows? However, I was told my USCIS that i should be hearing from them by mid Sept, so we shall see and rerto said the officer told him as of today, they are processing July 22nd's cases from last year(Has not been updated online), so we shall see, maybe CSC is finally catching up.

Just called another second tier immigration officer, i just curious to see if they would all be on the same page, and the strange thing is this officer told me something a bit different from the officer i talked to yesterday, one thing he did say is my case has been opened and someone is handling it, but he can't tell me how long it is going to take which is quite different from the officer who told me I would be hearing from them by mid Sept. He said my case has been transferred to NBC and if i don't hear from them by the last week of October, that would be outside normal processing times, and I can call to make an inquiry. He also didn't tell me like some of you said CSC is handling July 22ned applications from 2016, he went by the same processing times update as the one online. Maybe it is too good to be true that i might hear from them by mid Sept, but why would the first immigration officer tell me that?? Strange and a bit frustrating.

Hello everyone , i haven't posted here but I'm à an August Apllicant .I applied in August 24th 2016 for I751 removal of conditions . At the beginning of the August 2017 I went to my local field office to get a I551 stamp. Last week almost end of August 2017 I received a Notification from Atlanta below and I am confused .

" Congratulations! Your request for the removal of the Conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved. You are deemed to be a lawful permanent resident of the United States as of the date of your Original admission or adjustement of status.
You should receive a New permanent Resident card , form I551 ( green card) , within 60 days. Your card will include a mailer, form I-797D , whit important information about your status, responsibilities, and permanent resident service available to you.  ....."

This letter was sent from my Local Field Office Atlanta. I have just call USCIS and the person I spoke whit his telling me that is just a notification and that my I751 application is still pending.

My question is to know if this nofication is regarding the approval of my 10 years Green card? Is it about the i551 Stamp and if yes do they send green card for that?
This is very confusing please help.

The people we're talking to on the phones are not the ones actually approving our files. "Tier 2"  "Tier 1" it doesn't mean anything, they just work there. With the slow downs likely they've been told to say some sort of summary like- your application is in process and you'll hear back soon. Think of how many similar calls they're getting from people like us wondering what is taking so long. There's no way you're getting accurate specific information. You'll probably never speak to that same person again, so there's no consequence for anything they tell us. I'd take what they say with a grain of salt.
