I-751 August 2016 Filers

I checked trackitt website and there was one Aug approval reported for CSC. 

Otherwise CSC have basically stopped processing.

CSC has stopped processing!?      That's not good!

What do you mean CSC have basically stopped processing? Is there any evidence or concrete information regarding "the stopped processing"? If there is one or a few August filers being approved it kinda goes against the idea they have stopped processing. 

 

I try to put myself in the shoes of USCIS government employees and all the bureaucracy they have to deal with and possible short staff departments, imagine all the paperwork and scrutiny they have to apply and go through every single day. 

 

If it's true an August filer has been approved then each day that passes means higher hopes for all of us. That's the way I see it...

It's not about evidence, it's about logic. Just check the website he mentioned and see for yourself. The ratio between VSC and CSC approvals is something around 20:1 in the last 3-4 weeks. And the only CSC approval is a Filipino applicant from August/16 who only got approved now in April because of an interview in January. That pretty much shows that CSC has came (again) to a complete halt. Unfortunately. Also, a lot of people here at VJ are saying that when calling USCIS they are being told the wait is now 1 to 1 1/2 years for the I-751, for both centers. Sad for all of us.

There is no way of knowing how they operate. I would not say it has completely come to a halt, but it maybe be moving very slowly. They are going to have to find ways to move all the cases forward. It is not about logic, it is about patience, you can analyze all you want, and we just won't know what is going on. If they move just 1 week worth of applications by taking the entire month. That may confirm it will take a year and a few months, but who knows? Some cases get transferred to field offices, some cases take forever, but it won't help anyone by assuming for the worst either. We just need to keep waiting.

I didn't assume the worst. Officers at USCIS are the ones telling people the wait is now 1 to 1 and a half year. That's not assuming, that's a fact. And I didnt analyze anything either, I just concluded (as did our friend Friendlyusa, and many others actually) that CSC must have stopped processing based on the fact that no approvals whatsoever have been reported in the last 3 weeks or so, anywhere (in any website), except the one case I mentioned. Lastly, as you guys probably know, CSC started receiving workload transfers from various other centers, which - and now I'm assuming/analyzing - I believe helped put everything to a very slow - if not halted - pace. As for being patient....well...that's exactly what we've been doing for the last (almost) 11 months...and counting

 It took them the entire month just to move 1 week worth of applications, and it was frozen for 4 months without any movement. Nothing is definite, they always say it "could" take however long it would take. But I am not etting my hopes up, if it continues this slow pace, just one week per month, then it is right it would take about 1 year and 6 months, than that means you have 5 more months to go, and I have 7.5 months to go which is the worse case. We will just have to wait, but I do not believe it has come to a halt, it is just moving very slowly. But whatever the officers say may or may not be accurate, we just have to take what they say with a grain of salt. What can u do? Nothing. I am ready to wait for another 7.5 months...

I just assume for the worst and go from there, but who knows? It is a fact though that it has been moving very slowly, so far. One month per week, if it really continues this pace, that will confirm the processing times of 1 to 1.5 years..

While I will admit that I didn't see much progress in the forums last week, the week or so before that there were a whole bunch of June CSC filers approved, and May applications are starting to get approved at VSC. I suspect that one way or another, USCIS is putting pressure on VSC to get caught up to CSC (and might, to be honest, be holding back approvals at CSC until VSC is caught up. You can never guess at their motives. 

Since people on VJ have not been updating their timelines (they're pretty good about updating in the monthly threads, but not the timelines, which is where the data is gathered to populate VJ's processing times charts), and (more importantly) since we at VJ (and, by extension, Trackitt) represent a tiny, probably statistically insignificant segment of the people filing I-751 it's hard to really have a sense of what's happening at USCIS.

 

For example: in 2013, the year I applied for CR1, there were 248,322 people who became LPRs using the spousal visa. Let's assume 25% of them were CR1s as opposed to IR1s. (Which is a pretty conservative estimate) So 62000 people had to file I751s in 2015. That's about 5167 per month. In my monthly I-751 forum there are about 45 people on the spreadsheet. So that's 0.8% of applicants. Not really very many, if we're trying to figure out the larger pattern.

I filed jointly for the removal of conditions in August 2016. The application went to the Vermont center. My case is pretty straightforward: we are still married, have a child and plenty of other evidence of normal relationship. However, from what I understand reading this forum at the Vermont center it takes the whole year to process. Please, share your experiences.

I just saw that someone who applied on 06/06/2016 got approved today at CSC!  

 

So it's taking about 11 months at CSC!
