we are currently waiting for the sputum culture results. so sept 15 is the date to call and get results. do they give them to you over the phone? and after the interview can my fiancee stay in manila and wait for the visa to be issued or will it take too many nights in a hotel to wait?

Hello Base on my own experience, Yes your fiancee must call saint Lukes clinic for the result on the given date, BUT, they do not disclose any medical information over the phone. Your fiancee will know the result when she gets back to the clinic.

BUT, if the clinic staff your fiancee will talk to, tell her to bring the receipt, passport . that is a good sign that the sputum culture result is negative. ( NOTE: this is my experience, others might be different).

About the visa issuance , no definite or certain time for that, but basically, just like mine, staff at USEM said it will take 3-5 business days from the day of interview, but turned out 12 business days from the day of my approved interview.

But not all the same, so yes she will need to stay in Manila to wait for her passport/visa.

Also, while waiting for that visa, she might as well, do her cfo seminar ahead so when she has her visa on her hand, she can just simply go back to the cfo office to get the sticker.

thank you for that helpful info. i think it might be better to just go back to cebu after the interview and just have it mailed then. my fiancee will do the ceminar in cebu while waiting. but what is the cfo sticker. can we get that sticker in cebu as well?

Hi, Yes you're right your fiancee can go back and wait for her visa in Cebu after her interview, expect to wait extra days since it's provincial delivery but better than payong for hotel.

Yes, fiancee can also get her CFO seminar in cebu as well, it is required by the Philippines goverment before departing the country with out the CFO sticker your finacee cannot board the plane.

Yes she can. But I suggest take the seminar once she have her passport with VISA, because the CFO sticker will not be issued unless she present the passport with VISA. But if she chooses to do it BEFORE she will be given a CFO certificate and needs to return with her passport with visa on it.

Check the CFO website for registration and requirements. Lucky that she's from Cebu. Seminars are only held in Manila and Cebu.

Issuing the visa can take from 3 days to a year. Really depends how good your case is.
