Hi everyone,

I am preparing to apply for 10 years green card in August. I am trying to collect as much evidence as I can.

What I have got so far is

Joint bank statements

Joint tax transcripts for 2014 and 2015

Car title with both my name and his name

His life insurance listing me as beneficiary

His health insurance from work listing me as a dependent

Lease from my mom-in- law

My school emergency contact information listing his name and number as emergency contact

His work emergency contact information listing me as emergency contact

2 affidavits

Copy of my state ID and his driver's license sharing the same residence

Do we need to include pictures ? Do you guys think what I have so far is good enough ? I also have Verizon shared plans but phone bill is under his name and only my name and number is listed as user. Should I include this ? We do not have utility bills or internet bills.

What other evidence do you guys suggest ?

Thank you very much.

Hi everyone,

I am preparing to apply for 10 years green card in August. I am trying to collect as much evidence as I can.

What I have got so far is

Joint bank statements I am sending these too

Joint tax transcripts for 2014 and 2015 I am sending these too

Car title with both my name and his name I am sending this too

His life insurance listing me as beneficiary I am sending this too, also beneficiary for stock, AD&D

His health insurance from work listing me as a dependent I am sending our health insurance card showing us both

Lease from my mom-in- law

My school emergency contact information listing his name and number as emergency contact

His work emergency contact information listing me as emergency contact

2 affidavits

Copy of my state ID and his driver's license sharing the same residence I am sending both our DL's copies

Do we need to include pictures ? I included pictures in my AOS package 2 years ago, and I am sending pictures this time from holidays, birthdays, gathering with friends, vacations for the last 2 years, one per event. Do you guys think what I have so far is good enough ? I also have Verizon shared plans but phone bill is under his name and only my name and number is listed as user I am sending Spring bill where only my name shows but we both are included in the plan and it shows our two different phone numbers. I sent this evidence 2 years ago.. Should I include this ? We do not have utility bills or internet bills. None of the utility bills have our both names, some are still under his mom's name. He never changed them when he bought the house from him mom many years ago.

What other evidence do you guys suggest ? I am sending car insurance policy and card showing our both names on it. Boarding passes, rental car bill, rental bill of houses we stay during our vacations, cc statements showing transactions made in the places and dates of our vacations, school transcripts, bank statements in both names showing payments for tuition, W-2 from 2014 and 2015 from both our employments along with Federal Tax income tax returns, letter of employment from both our jobs, payment stubs, joint back accounts showing direct deposit from our employments.

Thank you very much.

Consider crafting wills, medical powers of attorney, and similar documents. These make excellent evidence for ROC, and they're even more crucial to have in "life."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hello Wavj,

Thank you so much for all your answers. I don't really have health insurance cards. What I have is health insurance enrollment form from his work listing me as dependent showing how much it costs for two people. Do you think it should be good enough ? Should I include school transcripts ? Does it have to be official transcripts ? I will include bank statements showing payment for tuition fees. Do I include W 2 forms if I am planning to submit tax transcripts ?

Thanks again

Pictures are not needed and are considered secondary evidence. That being said, some IOs like to see it, so include pictures that span your entire time from marriage to present, if you can. You should definitely include the Verizon statements. The fact that your name is in it under your phone number shows you're both in shared family plan, which is the kind of stuff USCIS likes to see.

Thank you very much.
