Hello everyone, just a quick question.

I'm on k1 in US, and will apply soon for visa. My fiance earns just above the poverty limit for 2 persons. We are currently living with her mother and brother, her mother doesn't claim her on taxes. So, I suppose we are good to go for AOS, right? No one else depends on her but me, so we can be considered a household of two, right ?

This was no problem for the k1 interview at the embassy.

***** Moving from K1 to AOS from Family visa as that seems to be the process Op is doing now *****

Hi there,

if you are in the USA with a K1, you already have your visa. The next step now is Adjusting Status to greencard holder, and for that you need to get married first.

In regards to your question yes, it sounds like you are a household of 2, despite living with others.
