sitting waiting for medical but a heads up for fellow people waiting.

they are asking for a letter that confirms your LDN case number, I don't have that yet so my result will sit here until I email a copy of proof of it :/ not the end of the world as it's currently in transit over here "according to NVC lol"

I think you need to go to the actual K1 instruction page from London. They tell you what to do Step 1, Step 2, Step 3 and so forth. https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

Doing the steps willy nilly prematurely can result in you stressing over things as you have already experienced, i.e. no status update, no verification letter for your medical. What's next for you? Can't get into the appointment schedule??

They have a workflow process that fits how they can most efficiently process your case.  Getting out of sync with that can sometimes put a spanner in the works.

Thank you for all this information it's very much appreciated!

Case is now in transit on CEAC and I forwarded the tracking notice to the medical centre and they seemed to have taken that a step they replied back saying it will attached to my medical report!

Can you do your ds160 and send it in when your petition is in transit to your embassy? Or is a no no as nothing in the instructions state you can't!

Then once it arrives as states ready, do the notification of readiness?

Yes. That likely just sits there in cyberspace waiting to be accessed. I don't really think anybody reviews it the moment you send it, but it needs to be there so your medical results have something to be associated with. It's your visa application, so ideally you apply, then get a medical appointment made, then readiness form.

I am surprised they gave you a medical appointment before you had an LND number to give them. That's kind of their way to make sure you aren't jumping the gun and getting out of sequence.

Awesome thank you! I have most of it filled out but I shall do that tonight and send it through as like I mentioned our case is in transit and medical is done so they have a file to associate with.

i guess I misread the process and other information on other forum threads here, we did have our LND verbally from the NVC that's how i managed to book the medical :) and this morning I emailed them a picture of our case in transit and they responded " thanks we will attach it to your medical report, it will take 5 working days for your medical to reach the embassy"

my thinking is that my medcial will will be there Wednesday as I'm not counting yesterday and Monday the embassy is closed for Memorial Day! :)

appreciate all your help and taking the time to reapond :)

Oh I thought you had manage to get booked before having a number to give them. They like to see something in writing verifying you didn't write down the wrong number when you got it verbally.

Their delay in sending to the embassy is waiting on the lab to send back your bloodwork report so they can complete their forms.  It goes to the embassy by courier so arrives same day they send it. Could easily be there Tuesday because of the Monday closure. Maybe even Friday.

Typical transit of your hardcopy file from NVC to London via DHL is four days. Then it has to get to the Immigrant Visa Unit and logged in.  Then they send an instruction letter to you along with a copy of the approved petition telling you to follow the website and start Step 1.  If you don't ever get that letter because you got out of sync with their process, don't worry about it. You don't need it (except to show at your medical which got covered).

Sorry me again but looking for advice!

I have everything organised, medical done and it let me in to book interview (9/6 - cancellation).

But Is there a reason my CEAC still says in transit when it was posted on the 22/5 (confirmed by NVC) and I've noticed a few peoples that are going to the Uk embassy that were posted on the 26/5 have updated there timeline to consulate received 31/5.

Thanks!

Does anyone have a hotel recommendation for being close to the Embassy? I can find plenty on google (I'm not being lazy, I promise!) but I trust you lot and any personal experiences you can offer for making interview day a little easier.

I guess it depends on your budget and how close to the Embassy you want to stay?

There are quite a few Premier Inns and Holiday Inns around there (within about 30 mins walk / short tube or bus ride), that might not be too bad (although probably still £100+ per night).

Personally, I've only stayed in one hotel in the area, and that was very pricey.

Hi all

Questions for my London people,

What documents did you take to the interview along with the I-134 to prove income? I have bank statement, bank letter, pay stubs, letters of employment contracts, will that be sufficient?

Do I have to wait for packet 3 before scheduling my interview?

Anyone got any tips on shipping stuff over?

Thanks
