The electronics thing changed just over three years ago to allow phones and such that you quoted.

There is is a contact form to get your family member on the list to get in. Typically it is spouse , fiancé, or child but you can certainly ask about your parent.  Form https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/iv_contact_form/

"Please provide the date of the appointment and the name of your U.S. citizen spouse or fiance(e) and arrangements will be made for them to be admitted to the Embassy.  They will be required to bring with them photo-id for presentation to Embassy personnel.  Children not applying for visas may accompany you also. If 12 or over, we will require their name and they will require photo-id. Please provide the required information through our contact form.

When completing the form,  please include your case number (e.g. LND2013XXXXXX). Failure to do so will delay our response."

Ah, great... Thanks so much, that's good to know. Appreciate your reply! :)

Tracking your case on CEAC it is non-immigrant right?

Seems like it as it asks to pick my embassy location.

Is this patient summary mandatory if you have never had any physical or health related issues! My medical Tuesday and I haven't been registered at a Dr for over year because or moving around with work! I do have my immunisation summary as I requested that from main health records department and I've got everything else sorted!

I would imagine that they will still want to see something from your GP, even if it states that you do not have - and have never had - any medical issues. It's worth covering all bases, IMHO :)

Tracking on ceac it's an immigrant visa. The US considers it a hybrid visa as it's non immigrant but with immigration intent and the government expects the person to immigrate. This confused me too at first lol.

It's on Immigrant because the Immigrant Visa Unit is handling your case and interview. The requirements and procedures are more in line with IV processes, so that's who you go to for information. When you find your case status it will say Immigrant. Then when they are done processing, right before your visa status changes to "Issued", the IV unit switches your status to read Non-immigrant to get you back in the proper category for statistics. You always log in through Immigrant, but that little change on your update is a clue that you are really close to havi g your visa printed.

Thanks! I went to my old gp surgery before work and they printed me off my medical/health summary which covers any physical or mental health issue/medications and addictions. Feel calmer now! :)

thanks for all the help!

How long is everyone finding it takes to have your visa come up on CEAC?

We got our number on Thursday and as of now, whenever I type in the number on immigrant case search "No records are found".

could this because they haven't posted it onto the embassy yet? Or it's likely that maybe by Monday evening it will have got itself into the system?

Last anxious part until I know it's in transit :)

Haha thanks!!

Am I not able to track it from the NVC to the embassy or is it going to be at the embassy before the CEAC tracker even acknowledges it's in the system?

Welcome to the wonderful world of immigration system updates.....

In theory it will change to In Transit & then Ready once it's arrived in London, the system doesn't always get updated so it may go straight to ready.

I recommend practicing extreme patience and stress control with the online updates - you'll drive yourself crazy during AOS otherwise....
