Just a thought @Chelleyandaaron about scheduling the interview. I've looked back through this forum to some of the earlier posts, and saw that some folks really were able to schedule the visa interview as soon as their CEAC status was set to ready. Grump! I did see that all of those folks had filled out the Applicant Readiness Form prior to the website letting them in to schedule something.  That link is at:

Just wondering if you have filled this in?  My fiancée hasn't and will fill it in, submit, and try to schedule a visa interview tonight on the off-chance it works...it may not. But just didn't know if that final step you had done!! You probably have, in which case this post won't help lol.

Ahh anyway, submitting this didn't allow my fiancée to schedule an interview either; it was just the only thing I could think of. I suppose we just have to sit on our hands like rowdy children until the website lets us in past the giant STOP screen.

I'm fairly certain I filled that in.  Watching the letterbox today hoping my embassy letter might arrive.  I have to call at my doctors to pick up my letter and vaccination records too.

In other news - I finally managed to get the letter from my Doctor today - and when I got home my letter from the Embassy was here!  So, I have emailed them with a copy of the letter as I still can't schedule my appointment online - it still says case not ready.  Hopefully I should hear back from them early next week and get my appointment!

 

And two of us have medicals on Monday! I am looking forward to meeting your fiancee @fishe23a !

I'm so glad the letter from the embassy arrived! But that's extremely frustrating about not being able to schedule an interview STILL, despite having the letter. Let us know how it works to schedule it in the end! And I know she is looking forward to meeting you as well!

I think @AmieDee had the same problem with the online scheduling and emailed them and they were pretty quick replying and updating the case to allow the scheduling - so I'm hoping I'll be able to get it sorted out early in the week.

I hope that they sort it out straight away. Our case on CEAC showed that it had been updated again today. So on the off chance that it was going to let her schedule her interview, my fiancée tried and the website let her in - her interview is scheduled for March 30th! So if she was able to schedule, and you were about six days ahead of us on all the other steps, then you certainly should be able to schedule by now!

 

I took a screen shot of the other available dates so you have a frame of reference for when you're scheduling! Don't know the times of day available - but as of right now, March 17 and 30 and April 3, 5, 7, 10, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, and 26 have available appointments!

Okay - the only date I could do would be the 17th March because I need to have my passport back for a trip before the 12 April.  I don't get back until the 24th April - so 26th would be a maybe...

 

Grrr... I hope the 17th is still there when they get my email!  Thank you so much for checking the dates for me.  I think @AmieDee has an intervew on the 30th too!  If I thought I would definitely get my passport back by the 12th I'd shoot for that too...  But some take up to three weeks

Update!  I tried again this morning - and on the second attempt it let me in!  So

 

I have my interview at 11am on 17th March!  Next week is going to be completely nuts - I have two book launches - biggest work week of my year (14th and 19th) so I will have to scoot to London in between the two.  BUT - oooooooooohhhhhhhh!

just been having a search on London us embassy site and found this for vaccines. I phoned Knightsbridge and they told me these are the mandatory ones based on age. Does that mean I don't have to worry about the rest a school I've been paying for Ones that aren't on this list :/ 

 

just thinking now its money which could've saved as I'd been looking at a different list is found for uk medical!

This is the vaccination requirements from USCIS by age : https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/Print/PolicyManual-Volume8-PartB-Chapter9.html

Td or Tdap must have been within 10 years and 2 doses of MMR in a lifetime. History of chickenpox excuses Varicella vaccination.

And also @carloolive, though the U.S. requires Varicella immunization, you cannot get it at the Knightsbridge Doctors (nor anywhere else in the U.K., really), and the U.S. understands that. Usually, that point is moot - if you have proof of having had chicken pox (for example, a note in your medical chart from your childhood indicating that you have a history of chicken pox, or a parent's report that you had it) then you're fine. Having had chicken pox is much more common in the UK than the US, as we vaccinate all children against varicella and the U.K. does not even have the vaccine available except in a few circumstances!

 

For example, my fiancée does not have any medical chart proof that she had varicella (chicken pox) as a child. Her mother swears she did, her father swears she did not. The doctors were unable to provide her a vaccination regardless, but did tell her she may have to prove she is immune to varicella by a blood test once she is in America (easily done at most labs here, but again not really easy to obtain in the UK).
