@Chelleyandaaron - how soon after receiving the NVC number were you able to track its status on the CEAC website, in the end? I remember you posting that the day following, it wasn't in their tracking system yet (and of course I'm running into the same thing).

I think it was the day after the day after - I think the case number was assigned on Wednesday last week and it didn't show on ceac until Friday

Thank you so much! Calming my neuroses here, lol. My fiancée scheduled her medical for March 6th, same as you - though she may reschedule it by the middle of next week if neither of us has gotten anything from the NVC or embassy, which I think is likely. Crazy, it seems. We are all in the final stretch now. (Putting I-485 etc out of my brain for now.)

What time is her medical?  I think I am 2.30 in the afternoon.  Others have said not to worry if you don't have the letter/email - that it should be okay if you tell them that the case number was issued over the phone.

 

It would be so cool if your fiance was there at the same time - might help to calm my nerves a little!

She scheduled hers for 1.10 in the afternoon - so she will be there a little earlier than you but right around the same time! Might help to calm each other's nerves.

Update: By the time NVC showed 'at NVC' I have just discovered it was in transit to London!  By the time it showed 'in transit' it had already arrived in London!

My case now shows as 'ready'

do I need to wait for the NVC letter/email to reach Aaron before I can schedule my interview?  My case is now in London.  When I sign in to the interview appointments it asks if I have received the letter from NVC or the consulate (which I haven't yet) and then tells me to go away if I click no...

Update - I registered on the visa interview site but after entering the case number, it came up with a message to say that the case was not ready yet and that I need to wait for the letter from the embassy - so that answered that question for me!  I was really hoping to get an interview between the 15th and 22nd March as otherwise I'll have to wait another month (I am going away over Easter and need my passport)

Just wanting to ask,  for the I-34 Affidavit of support form I don't have the tax return to go along as proof, i can provide this years W2, employer letter and recent pay stubs. Is this enough?

Hi there! I asked this question in a separate forum post a long time ago and several people gave me some pretty detailed answers that I was thankful for! I've reposted below what I was told. From user Nich-Nick:

 

"Information specific to a London K1 interview:

The sponsor provides an I-134 and one proof of income. (A second proof for a backup is a good plan). London does not require a tax return with an I-134, but it's an easy one to use if it shows enough income. Remember a copy of the tax return should have the proper W2 or 1099 wage statement with it. If you order a free transcript of your most recent tax return, then it by itself is sufficient without the W2. Another good proof is a letter from your employer or some kind of employment/salary statement from HR.

 

London has approved with only an employer letter in the past, so throw in a tax transcript and you are well covered. Skip the bank statements unless your income is short and you needs to show investments or savings. Otherwise you can leave the whole assets section blank.

 

When you are married and doing the adjustment of status, the I-864 has stricter requirements as written in law. But the I-134 for a fiancé has nothing in the law other than the visa officer must be convinced your fiancé will not become a public charge. It doesn't take much to convince London, hence one I-134 and one proof of income would do it."

Hey - I did the same thing this morning. My case was updated on the 22nd saying 'Ready' but then when I went to book my appointment this morning it said that the case is not ready yet. A little confusing. I guess I'l have to wait for that letter...

When did you all submit your DS-160? We have an LND case number, but as of calling last night, the case has not yet left the NVC for the embassy. I can't seem to find anywhere online when the appropriate time is to submit it. My fiancée has it all completely filled out and ready. May we submit it now, or do we have to wait for London to receive the case...?
