I called Andrews Memorial Hospital US Medical section the day I got my Interview date and the person who scheduled was flexible. She changed my date to accommodate my upcoming anniversary plans (920-7637). Keep calling. If you hear that recording, hang up and call back, a human normally answers eventually.

I was told my appointment date and was scheduled for 11am. She told me it was first come first serve so I could arrive at about 10.

I got there at 10 and there were a lot of people in the waiting area. A gentleman took my name and asked me what time my appointment was for. He found my name, ticked it and then assigned me a number. He took my passport and 4 passport sized photos, the filled out medical form and the appointment letter. He instructed me to write my first and last name on the back of the photos. On the the front of the medical form, he told me to write contact information for someone in Jamaica (Name, phone number, relation to me.) I was also told to write the address of where I would be living in the US (You definitely need this. You need the exact address, street number, zip code etc) So make sure you know this information I heard a few people on the phone trying to get this.

I then sat and waited till about 12:15! I did nothing but wait for that entire time. Then my name was called and I was sent to the cashier to pay. ($15875. It's $8375 for children 14yrs and under).

I then sat down for about another 30 minutes waiting before I got called again and this time I went to the nurse. She took my blood pressure and temperature and asked me to read from a vision chart (you know the one with the letters that get smaller as you go down). She took my height and weight.

More waiting. Then I got sent to the doctor. Things started going faster at this point. The doctor, asked me some questions about my medical history and if I ever had chicken pox. She took my medications related to illnesses I had and made a note of them. She made a note of surgical procedures I have had. She told me to undress and sit on the table, she did a physical exam then told me I would be getting two vaccines. (I realize the vaccines are related to the questions asked as well as dependent on age.) I paid $6000 for MMR and Tdap. ( I did not have my immunization card. Couldn't find it).

Went back to waiting room but this time I was sent immediately to do my Xray. I waited about 10 minutes to get through at Xray since there were about 10 people ahead of me. (Make sure you hand your passport and xray form in at the yellow door or they won't call your name). The xray itself took about 30 seconds to be done. You get undressed and told to put on those blue gowns with the back out. Then stand in front the xray machine and a couple seconds later you are all done.

Went straight to the lab to get my blood drawn. After that, went back to waiting room and waited about 10 minutes for the nurse to call me. She gave me my vaccinations, that took about 2 minutes. That was it. I left there at 3:15pm. In total I spent 15875+ 6000.

There is a sign that says no phone use but you can use your phone as long as you aren't loud or noisy. There is AC and it gets really cold especially as people leave. The US medical section is to the back of the hospital in its own section not at the main hospital building. They have a card machine so you can use debit or credit cards. There is a decent amount of parking there as well. All the staff were pretty friendly. I saw a sign that said cafeteria but I don't know what it stocks because I brought my own food. The medical report goes straight to the embassy but they tell you to come back the day of the interview to pick up your CD. I guess they realized how stressful it is for persons not living in kingston to keep coming back.

The worst part is the initial waiting. Once they start doing stuff it goes a bit faster. All the best to everyone who have medicals and interviews coming up!

After the medical how long does it takes to get report or they will send it to the embassy?

It goes directly to the embassy. You don't pick it up.

I'm not up to the interview part yet, but when it's time to to go to Jamaica for the interview and do the medical, how may days do you recommend, that I should come to Jamaica, before the medical and the interview?
