Hey everyone. What's the consequences if I am late on paying my green card fees for my kids. The stamp on their passport expired last month and It occurred to me this morning that I completely forgot to do it before the expiration date. I know it's irresponsible and inexcusable but I just wanna make it right as soon as I can. If u have a similar experience or basic know-how , can you please advise? Thanks

hi

pay it now, and as soon as you can, make an infopass appointment to get the passports stamped. I hope they will, but at least pay and show that you paid for the passports

unless they are minor children under 18 and you are a USC. then they have derived your citizenship and you have to get them a US Passport asap

hi

they had the i551 temporary stamp in their passport that was good for a year, with that you could have gotten the passport without paying for the card

I'm not sure now if you can get any stamp now that you lest time pass,

that's why it is urgent that you make an infopass appointment to ask them what you can do, and also check out a passport agency to see if they accept an expired stamp in the passport

this is all to avoid paying for the GC
