How long you need to wait to process CR-1? if the benificiary is from the Philippines

I am just in my NVC stage as of the moment so usual timeline they say now is 6 months to a year. It really varies from case to case. You can check the timeline for others. Hope all will be well for you and the rest of us in the same boat! :)

USCIS Process:
Sent I-130 (via USPS): April 28 2016
NOA1 hardcopy received: May 7, 2016
NOA2 approval text & email: July 6, 2016 (60 days from NOA1) :dancing:

Case number and IIN Assigned: August 3, 2016

If you are interested, you can take a look at my timeline or signature and it'll give you an idea of how my visa process has been :) If you are proactive and remain organized you can have your spouse here in the US in 8-9 months.

Hubby and mine are taking more than a year since we filed July 30, 2015.

6 months in uscis .

4 months in NVC.

Now we will be interviewed in Aug and hopefully fly to American soil??

Normal processing time is 9-12 months. Each case is different. Unfortunately you are more at the mercy of USCIS/NVC and USEM then a regular K-1. I hope you Journey is smooth and without pitfalls.

Is it faster on other service centers? Or are they about the same. I looked and checked all this timelines and it seems that other service center are faster than others. We are on texas service center i dont know if it's good or not

Everyone sends their application to Texas where it is then opened and scanned. Once scanning is complete your file is then sent to either California or Vermont for the final processing before it is sent to your Embassy. If one service center is busier then the other then your file will be sent to the processing center that is less busy but not always. It can sit for weeks or months until the SC can get to it.

I just filed mine on july 5th and receieve that noa couple of weeks ago. How long does it to take to find out when they will send it to California or Vermont? When i called all they say is its in texas sevice center and they are working on it? After that is done what is next?

Let me offer this to you. I understand your enthusiasm as we all have been there. But this early on in the process and you are questioning when it will be here, there and somewhere else. Relax. This is a process and will take time. You will drive yourself crazy if you are checking every minute to see where your file is.

Get the phone app and let it follow your progress for you. When there is a change in your file it will notify you post haste. The link is below..

I would like to know how long you waited.

It is very possible to have your Filipina spouse in the USA in less then a year, As others as mention you need to be organize and stay proactive. There is not much you can do while your case is with the USCIS but after they approve it and send it to the NVC, Then it is possible to speed up the process at the NVC. After that the interview, approval and your spouse is here

If you look at my timeline it was about 9 months from the time I file for the cr-1 visa till the time wife was here with me. She has been here a little over a year now. We just had a baby girl

I use to get on this site a lot but, now a days I am not able to get on as much as I used to.

Our IR-1 was faster than the average it seems. Maybe luck was on our side. Little over 4 months from I130 to interview. Was in the USA a month later. Not sure if being proactive and always calling for status helped or not but it sure didn't slow down the process.
