Hi

I'm waiting for my interview scheduled 26th August and my beautiful niece has decided to draw inside my passport, I've a appointment scheduled for a new one this weekend to be on the safe side but all my DS-160 and appointment info is filled out with my old passport number although I can update my passport number on the appointment I can't update the DS-160 number on it without cancelling it which I do not want to do. Questions:

1). Do I need to complete a new DS-160 and take both the old and new form along with both passports to the interview?

or

2). Take the old form and ask them to update the passport number at the interview to the new passport number?

Obviously I will take both the old one and new passport along with me so is more do I need a new form or not?

Info online seems missleading so not sure what's best to do.

Thanks

Jamie

Update: I re-did my DS-160 with the updated passport number and took both to the interview, I explained what happened to the first window guy who takes your paperwork and he wasn't fussed about it and didn't actually ask for either of the forms I did. Approved at the next window and the change caused no issues. Just be sure to update the passport number on your appointment as they do check on entry but this is the one thing you can update on the website you schedule your appointment on.
