green card holder and wants to attend school

hi my husband came here on a k1 visa and now has a green card. when i filed my tax return this year he wasnt listed on it cause at the time we weren't married yet but now he wants to take college courses. will he be able to receive financial aid with his green card or does he have to pay out of pocket for the courses?

Ok so filling out the Fafsa form it's asking if he filed taxes, on my tax return he's not included in it because he had no SS# or green card at the time. So how do we go about that?
