Hi all. We just got married less than two weeks ago and starting to REALLY think about filing for AOS.

Background: both in the US, he's the USC, I entered legally on a work visa 4 years ago. I'm still here on that visa.

My concerns/questions - finances:

He's not making that limit for support, but we are fine with our income combined. However, I saw somewhere here that if we combine our income I have to prove that I'm going to have that same source of income in the future. Does that mean I have to keep working my current job and possibly get some sort of guarantee from my employer?

I'm seeing different info on tax returns - is it the latest one or is it 3 years? If it's 3, what if the petitioner didn't file the 2013 and 2014 return?

My concerns/questions - evidence:

I'm assuming it's OK to just print out the pictures from FB on regular paper?

How far back do we have to show that we've been living together? We both are on the new apartment lease, but it's just me on the lease for out old apartment.

I added him to my medical insurance back in the spring, now in the process of adding him to my dental, and I should probably add him to my car insurance and back to my AAA account. We've also discussed opening a joint savings account and I can add him as an authorized used to one of my credit cards. Does that sound enough for finances?

We didn't have a wedding but we did have a grill out with his family the next day to celebrate, and we got a few greeting cards, but that's about it. I've read that no wedding is not really a problem?

My concerns/questions - other paperwork:

I plan to hyphenate my last name. However, I just got my new passport a couple of months ago, it obviously still has my maiden name. Do I have to change it before we file?

My visa is obviously in my old (expired) passport that was taken away when I got the new one. I still have the scans of the whole thing. Is that OK? Should I just add copies of bio and visa pages from the old passport + old I-94, along with the new passport bio page and the visa extension approval along with the new I-94? I haven't left the US since moving here, so my new passport is squeaky clean.

I know that it's very important that my legal history is clean - what about the USC petitioner? More precisely, if a legal matter (a misdemeanor) is getting sorted out right now, should we wait for the outcome before filing?
