Can I delete a DS-160 application?

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue. My fiancee submitted the DS-160 application, but then we noticed a mistake, so we started a new application. Today my fiancee got a call from the U.S. consulate asking which application is the correct one, and asked her to delete the incorrect one. I have tried finding a way to delete it, but I can't find one. Does anybody know if it is even possible to delete a DS-160 application. My fiancee is already overwhelmed with everything, we have ran into a few issues during the process, someone help please. Thank you.

I don't think you can delete an application that was submitted and you can't even make changes to one as well after submission. I would suggest you take the confirmation number and bar code to the new submitted DS-160. I would honestly contact them either by mail or phone and request to have the first DS-160 cancelled...

If after you have submitted your DS160 and wish to cancel you really don't have to. Create a new one and submit it. Print off the confirmation page with bar code and give to the CO at your interview.

There is a process to go back in and make corrections but creating a new one is easier.

NOA-1 Issued Dec 21, 2015 NOA-1 for ROC issued

NOA-1 Issued Dec 26, 2015 NOA-1 Received

Biometrics Appt. Jan 29, 2016 Biometrics Appointment Scheduled [Completed]
