I'm sure he does - but then he (like Limbaugh) is one of those lunatic fringe commentators, so its not really much of a surprise. That said, the mainstream ones are not too dissimilar - ever noticed how Dobbs and O'Reilly twist the words of their guests to subtly promote their books?

Does the left have a single radio personality that is mildly entertaining? I don't think so. I have XM and they have a left and right channel. The left channel is a bore fest.

I listen to internet radio these days - the BBC has a pretty good selection of radio programming and some pretty funny people.

In many ways, the US with its diametrically opposed political positions and kneejerk reactionism (as far as the media goes) still seems like an alien country.

The incident that resulted in his firing began innocently enough. Savage was taking viewer phone calls about airline horror stories, and a male caller began talking about smoking in the bathroom.

"Half an hour into the flight, I need to suggest that Don and Mike take your ..." the caller said, before he was cut off and his words became unintelligible.

"So you're one of those sodomists. Are you a sodomite?" Savage asked.

The caller replied: "Yes, I am."

"Oh, you're one of the sodomites," Savage said. "You should only get AIDS and die, you pig. How's that? Why don't you see if you can sue me, you pig. You got nothing better than to put me down, you piece of garbage. You have got nothing to do today, go eat a sausage and choke on it."

yeah, that's michael savage..

Wow. That's one of those, 'tell us how you really feel', quotes! :P Amazing how someone so intelligent and educated can be so ignorant.

I don't listen to many on a regular basis, but I have heard just about everyone. Do love Wait Wait Don't Tell Me! and the Car Talk Boys. Maybe I am one of those that just need a sense of humor because i can take Savage way too seriously! :P

Those shows are funny. I didn't like Savage at first but I just left the radio on after another show I listen to. He grew on me. Many things he says are not to be taken seriously. Illegal immigration is one of his big topics I agree with. As far as homosexuals go I don't really care what people do in private. And what you do in public should be held to the same standards as heterosexual couples.

He's EXTREMELY homophobic..........almost makes you wonder if there was something in his past he's not telling everyone about ;)

Other than for that fact....and that yeah, he's a bit extreme at times...........he is by far the most entertaining radio personality on the air. And if you listen to him for a while like I have, it's almost frightening.......but he actually starts to begin to make a lot of sense on many issues.

My wife and I both find him very entertaining.

He's just a bit....um...."out there".....at times.... :wacko:

March 13, 2007 Case completed at NVC! Whoooohoooo!! Ankara, here we come!!!!

March 15, 2007 Case fowarded to Ankara Embassy

April 4, 2007 Interview. Wife gets handed the little green paper. Not good. Need to submit a few more things.

April 9, 2007 Items mailed back to Embassy. Crossing fingers, rubbing the "rabbit's foot", etc,..that this may FINALLY be the end.

April 14, 2007 Visa delivered! Wife is finally going to be on her way back home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

April 20, 2007 Wife enters through JFK. The days of grabbing my dinners at the WalMart deli....are now officially over!!!
