Did you get receipt notices for both the I-821D and the EAD? And they both say they were received? Usually they schedule your biometrics appointment date a little over a month after they receive your file.

Hey guys, I was reading your messages and I'm really worried now. I sent my renewal almost 2 months ago. I received the two letters saying that my case was received as well as the payment, and that I should wait for a letter with the biometrics appointment to arrive. Since then I haven't received anything else. You are talking about a letter asking you to create an account but I haven't received it yet, I wonder why...Also I checked my case status on the USCIS website and it says that my case was received, that they have emailed me a receipt notice ,that is being processed and that the notice will say how they will process my case, and to follow instructions. So I'm still waiting for my biometricts appointment but I think it has been too long. The last two times I did this process the letter arrived like a week or 10 days after the two receipts. What should I do? Call USCIS? Create an account on that website? I'm really worried...

Thank you

Did you have an account before? Would that possibly still be active? Although it's a new case number I'm assuming, so it might not work. The biometrics letter should come fairly soon after the first notification. The biometrics appointment is usually scheduledone about a month or so after they receive your file. I've seen a few cases where the biometrics appointment occurred two months after NOA1. But if you're unsure, calling USCIS might be a good idea.

Hi, no I haven't made an account before. I called on Monday and the lady told me she would send a notice to the center where they are processing my case to let them know that I still haven't received the appointment. She told me that I should get something within 30 days, if not, to call back to the costumer service line and use a confirmation number she gave me. We'll see what happens :(...

Fingers crossed they send you the notice and get you into your biometrics appointment smoothly! Did your EAD status change online at all?

Yes, I checked it many times and I had copies of my previous application so it's pretty much the same info. The only things that have changed are that I moved from Texas to New York but that was right after I got my last work permit and I did change my address on the USCIS website right away, also I renewed my passaport and it has a different number than the previous one but I sent them copies of it with this application. I did get the letters with the receipts so they got my address right. My brother is also renewing his permit and he hasn't gotten his biometricts appointment yet.His information hasn't changed at all...if anything was wrong or they needed more evidence or information they would had sent us a letter requesting it. You did get one of the receipts but not the other one right?
