Hey friends, K-1 PETITIONER here filling out I-864. Few things..

1. PART 2 "Other Information" numbers 5. and 6. is he supposed to have an A number? or USCIS ELIS Account number?

2. For PART 4 "SPONSOR'S Full Name", I'll put my NEW married name, yes?

3. PART 5 "Sponsor's Household Size" It's just going to be me in my house and him. So I put "1" for 1. and "1" for 2 (Yourself) which totals Household Size: "2" ....I feel really stupid but, is that right?

4. PART 6 "Sponsor's Employment and Income (continued)" 19.a:

It will be for Tax year 2015. I started full time with my company in May of 2015, so my Gross-Pre-Tax income WILL NOT show my full salary for latest tax year. Is this going to be an issue? I also recieved a raise last month. I have paystubs and the letter informing me of my raise this year. I've been told I'll need a co-sponsor even though I've been over highest poverty standard for over a year now. I think though, my pay for 2015 on my transcript shows 30k+. Can't remember now.

Thanks guys. Very grateful for your time and help :)

The I-864 is for when youre in the states and you apply for your green card.

For k1 fiance visa you need the I-134.

Yes I'm speaking for AOS, sorry I posted in the wrong place but my other post was deleted... I can't get any answers for these questions though and keep getting told I'm either posting wrong, I don't need this form, or something. My fiance is moving soon and I'm just trying to get ahead.

It is difficult for people to accurately answer and help you if you do not give some background. You never stated you were asking about this for AOS. Your timeline shows you are just now at the stage to apply for a K-1, you posted in the K-1 forum, and therefore I assumed you were applying for the K-1 visa and were confused at which form you needed to use.

1.) A K-1 entrant applying for AOS will not have an ELIS number. Those are for immigrant visa entrants. He will have an A#. It can be found on the I-129F approval notice above the beneficiary's name.

2.) Yes. If you are changing your name through marriage, then you can list the new married name. This is not that important for the USC, as the maiden/current name can still be used too.

3.) Yes, if it is just the 2 of you, and you have no minor children or other tax dependents, then it is a household size of 2.

4.) Part 6 #2 is where you list your current annual income. It is not based on what you made last year. That is the most important factor for meeting the requirement. You provide letter from employer and recent pay stubs to prove that amount. Part 6 #19a-c is where you list the Total Income amounts from your last 3 tax returns. The tax info is separate from current income.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to AOS from Family Based Visas - topic is AOS, not K-1 ~

I appreciate the help, always do. Apologies for confusion and inconvenience I'll be more clear next time I ask a question.
