Hi all,

My husband had his IR visa interview today and came home with a 221(g) letter, asking him to submit his old tourist visa.

Would anyone know how long after the US Embassy Manila receives the requirement would they make/give a decision on his visa (status)?

By what he told me, everything went smoothly during the interview and the consular officer was already (implicitly) giving instructions to him "once he arrives in the US", etc.

So we kind of think they just need the old visa for documentation. Is this fine to assume?

Thanks in advance!

It sounds very positive, yes, but I wouldn't book any flights until the visa is in hand, in case there are other delays.

Yes, of course. My husband doesn't even plan to leave his job, not just yet ;)

But would you know how long before they get back to us?

We immediately sent the required document today, right after his interview. 2GO said it may arrive at USEM by the 28th so I'll probably be checking status by next week?
