I think we should all disagree with that. I hate when American's claim the US is the greatest on earth. Its not true. Its never been true.

Fair enough point but just imagine for a second FLOTUS had said that last night. We'd have a thread here that would be on fire because the Trumpists would fall all over themselves lashing out at her over such comment. And yet, they support a man who is essentially saying just that. Not only saying that but making it his campaign slogan.

True he infers that the US was once great. There might be an argument that in the late 40s/50s/60s the US had such a competitive industrial edge over everyone that the US was "great". But its a hard point to argue when there was such broad discrimination during that period.

I will say Obama already addressed the "great" comment a few years ago calling it cliched.

i thought michelle was taking a jab at all the people who eight years ago were going on about how she hated america, which was never a true representation. last night she got to twist that mistruth back on the the folks who spread such bs.
