Stressing over I-864. Need Help.

They updated the forms so following the samples only adds to the stress and I need to submit as soon as possible.

I just have a lot of questions and probably more after those get answered. We are using a joint sponsor and I already have tax transcripts for me and the joint sponsor (my mother)

1. Mailing address is the immigrants current not intending right?

2. Household size. Since my wife is the one I'm sponsoring even though I don't make enough I have to put zero for married because she was already counted in the form yes?

3. I am required to fill out assets even if they still won't add up to enough?

4. If I read correctly current annual income is what I expect to make this year but I don't need proof (pay stubs, letters, etc)

5. Now my mother fills out the form exactly the same and my dad does a 864A cause they filed jointly yes? Or if my mother makes enough alone then I don't need the 864A?

6. Total income is just total income on transcript right? Do I need to find the exact total income from the 2014 and 2013 even if I am not submitting a transcript. Just the latest one?

And it goes without saying anything blank is a N/A or NONE.

5. Correct regarding I-864A. If your mother's income alone is sufficient for a household size of 3 (her, your dad, your wife), then the I-864A is not needed; however, her W2 in addition to other items as to what her source of income is would be needed.
6. Yes, total income is what is on the transcript. As for the other years, be as accurate as possible and find out what the exact total income is.

So for the purposes of this paper I put employed and expect to make whatever my total wages were and submit a w2 if I can find it? I have an older pay stub, but the rest seemed to have gotten lost of something.

For 5. I have her tax transcript and I believe I can get a pay stub for current. That is all I need?

So for the purposes of this paper I put employed and expect to make whatever my total wages were and submit a w2 if I can find it? I have an older pay stub, but the rest seemed to have gotten lost of something. ​ ​W​​​2 in this instance is useless, try to obtain your most current pay stub that shows what you have been paid year to date (YTD) or a letter from your employer that indicates your job title, salary, and how long you have been with the company.

You are correct on tax transcripts not differentiating who made what. If there is no I-864A, then writing in total income would not be correct, your dad's income would have to be excluded. You would only write your mom's total income and her W2 will need to be included along with the transcript. If there is an I-864A, then total income from the transcript would be the correct figure.

Sorry to double post again, but I was going over this tax information and realized my dad is self employed as such his total income would be located in the profit from business section yes? Or is it still all included in total income?

Keep it simple and have your mom combine her income with your dad, dad will need to complete an I-864A.

I figured it would be easier to just use my mom. She confirmed total is just her and I'll probably have a pay stub to prove it. And since its enough that it isn't a question that she could sponsor my wife it'll save me a form.
