hello everyone,

my husband just received his interview letter and I am wondering what documents he needs to present other than original copies of the civil documents he sent to NVC. This is the list we got in his interview letter:

Document Name Document Status CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS C 1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1 R 1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 2 R PASSPORT J 3 - BIRTH CERTIFICATE J 4 - ADOPTION F 5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE J 6 - MARRIAGE TERMINATION F 7 - COURT RECORDS F F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE Y 9 - MILITARY RECORDS F 10 - MEXICO POLICE CERTIFICATE J FEE PAYMENT $ PHOTOGRAPH A F - PETITIONER MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE F F - PETITIONER BIRTH CERTIFICATE F 11 - PETITIONER MARRIAGE TERMINATION F.

Also, I am wondering about the fingerprints: must we schedule an appointment in Juarez for his fingerprints to be taken prior to his interview date? If so, where and how? His medical exam is already scheduled. I am just wondering about the documents he must collect and present for the interview date and the fingerprints.

Any information and tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I just want to know what documents my husband must present to his interview in Ciudad Juarez and if we have to make an appointment for his fingerprinting to be done. If so, how and where can I schedule that appointment for digital fingerprinting. This is for an IR-1 SPOUSE OF A US citizen visa. we filed a ds-260.

Let's see if I remember well:

Go to this page and create an account, you'll need an email address.

https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv/users/sign_in (the main color of the background must be GREEN, if it's blue, click on "IV" at the bottom right of the page. There are 2 buttons: "IV" and "NIV").

Enter the information ( passport number, name, etc.), after you complete the info, you'll have the option to schedule the fingerprints appointment. If you have no access to a computer, then you can call:

Ciudad Juarez: +52 656 344 3003 <-- Sometimes this number is faster than the 703 number, but is a long distance call.

If you are calling from within the United States, please dial +1.703.249.4628.

If you call, they'll ask you the same questions as if you'd use the website, so have his name, passport number, the letter he received and I'm not sure if you need the DS-260 confirmation number (the AA number).

Good luck!

I didn't answer your questions correctly:

Yes, you need to schedule the fingerprint appointment, the Juarez office is next to the consulate on the north side, in the shopping strip.

The documents he needs to present are those with a "J", he must bring the originals.

CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS C

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1 R (sent online)

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 2 R (sent online)

PASSPORT J ( Bring original)

3 - BIRTH CERTIFICATE J (Bring original)

4 - ADOPTION F (not requested)

5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE J (Bring original)

6 - MARRIAGE TERMINATION F (not requested)

7 - COURT RECORDS F (not requested)

8 - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE Y (NVC sent it to consulate)

9 - MILITARY RECORDS F (not requested)

10 - MEXICO POLICE CERTIFICATE J (Bring original) <-------------is there a "J" here?

FEE PAYMENT $ (payment received)

PHOTOGRAPH A ß------------------------------------------- is there an “A” here?

F – PETITIONER MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE F (not requested)

F - PETITIONER BIRTH CERTIFICATE F (not requested)

11 - PETITIONER MARRIAGE TERMINATION F. (not requested)

I hope somebody can help with the Mexico police certificate. I didn't need it, but I wanted to have it, just in case, I went to the Mexican consulate in Seattle, to request a letter from the consulate but it was wrong and I couldn't use it. Check first if there is a "J" after Mexico police certificate, I formatted your letter and it seems it is requested. The consulate takes 2 weeks to process the letter, so you better go and request it very soon.

I hope I answer your questions this time.
