Hey all

any recent (FEB/MAR 2007) TSC filers receive NOAs? its been 40 days since my checks were cashed for the I-751 and we havent received a NOA extending the length of conditional status yet.

I did receive a reference receipt number. it acknowledges receipt of the $70 dollar biometrics fee

I called the Customer service number and the lady tells me that they are no longer sending these letters (I-797 NOA) and i would only get something if info was requested.

So my question is: are the rest of you recent (FEB/MAR 2007) TSC filers receiving NOA's extending length of conditional status? or are you still waiting in the mail for weeks and nothing yet. If you are receiving notices then it justifies another call to customer service for a better answer. But if you have been waiting more than 30 days for a NOA and nothing yet maybe she was correct and i wont worry anymore

please let me know

cassie, tweety? you gals out there?

I do not think the answer you got from the lady is correct, however, if I were you I would call again and inquire, if that does not work I would suggest that you schedule an infopass, because the only thing (after your GC expired) will prove that you are a PR is NOA's extending length of conditional status, otherwise you are out of states.

good luck

I'm still patiently waiting as well... hope the NOA1 shows up soon. Let us know if you find out anything new. 40 days sounds insanely long... I would just call anyway - may-be you get to talk to a different person.

Hey all

For all you TSC filers that have filed recently( mid FEB 2007 forward)

So i called the USCIS customer service again today wondering why i havent received a NOA for the I-751 we filed.

This guy tells me the same info that the lady told me a couple weeks ago. They are not creating the 797 NOA's anymore, for whatever reason there was a recent change

he says these notices use to be hand typed and they have been told to stop. However, not everyone employed got the memo and a few are still being sent out. He said the new receipt is the reference receipt number for paying the 70.00 dollars for biometrics the one with the white lable stuck to it and has a SRC number that doesnt work on their website He says this is the proof that your petition has been filed. He also said biometric appointments are computer generated to give you a date and place to be and they are backlogged at the moment. so letters are moving slow (go figure)

Now i still am not a beliver of this INFO but NOBODY is saying they received an NOA from TSC recently, or maybe you did slip through the changing process.

Please if you are still waiting, how long and if this info is true and you did slip though the cracks how long did it take to get your NOA

Seems a bit unusual to me, but hey what can I do.

Cassy, tweety any update on your end?

Mark, did you ask them how we are supposed to proof our legal residency without the letter? The main item in the NOA is the one year extention.

Did you also ask them why the other 3 service centers still send them and why TSC is supposedly the only service center not doing them anymore?

Hey tweety

I did ask the very question, how do we prove residency. becaue we are planing to leave country in July and need to get back in.... they tell me all i need is the biometrics receipt number i received. If i ran into problems any agent could type that number into the system and see the petition has been filed. I hate being in the middle of change, if in fact there really is one. but hey we seem to still be waiting for that NOA.. Two years ago I received the receipt numbers in a week after filing ... now this time around i received the biometric receipt for my 70.00 dollars in a week. how about you.? your biometrics receipt came pretty fast, so where is the NOA?

I will give it another two weeks, then i will call again and try for another answer.. or request a duplicate receipt if thats possible. If you dont receive anything you should start calling to and see what happens.

or call today and tell them your SRC number doesnt work, the one from the bio receipt and you havent received a NOA and see what happens?

 they got to be kidding.... use the biometrics receipt number that won't work with the system... yeah right.... what makes them think the border agent will be able to retrieve something when the ppl at the call center can't retrieve anything. Besides, the sticker mail/biometrics receipt only verifies payment of $70 biometrics services fee - it doesn't verify that you have filed the I751 petition and it certainly doesn't verify your status. Anyone could replicate that mail, it's just a simple piece of paper with stickers on it...

I will wait till 30 days after my filing date before I make any contacts to USCIS - but I doubt it will help anything anyway.

I guess if I don't have anything in hand before my greencard expires end of May, I will make an infopass appointment to get my passport stamped. I don't think they would deny me the stamp when I don't have an official NOA - or at least I hope they won't.

I totally agree - you'd think it's a requirement to have the official I-797 to prove the 1 yr. extension / status. I did notice that the sticker on our receipt also has I751 printed after the SRC#.

Well, I hope we all get our NOA's still!

Hey abygail

after your comment i did notice the same thing on my biometric receipt number. I have I-751 printed after the SRC receipt number that doesnt work on it.

So... i guess i wait to see if an appointment letter shows up, like the receipt states i will be notified in writting of a date, time and location to report and have biometrics done.

Hi All,

I sent my I-751 package on Feb'20 2007 to Texas Service Center.

Check cashed on 27th Feb.

March 10th - Recieved Acknowledgment letter saying that Bio-mertic fee($70) is paid.

March 20th - Recieved Bio-mertic Appointment letter for March 29th in Atlanta, GA.

Mathc 22nd - Recieved NOA approving 1 year extension on employment & travelling.

I gone through online InfoPass to get appointment for one year extension stamp on my passport....that is scheduled on March 29th....same day as my biometirc appointment.

1 Year extenstion stamp appointment is at 11:00AM

Bio-mertic Appointment is at 2:00PM

Both are in Atlanta, GA. But offices are located in different places.

(These two offices are not same. In some local service centers, they can be located in same office space. But in Atlanta they are located 15 miles a part.)

Thanks.
