Hoping this forum can help since I only have a few days before back to work offshore with no cell service. Really trying to help my fiancé here. I received an email which I believe is packet 3. She has not received anything. Do I send to her? I'm stressing and confused with the instructions they give and was hoping if someone can explain easier for me. I know she has to do the whole DS-160 for and is there any thing else? The NVC said to now schedule an interview so I do now or after she sends the packet? This is the email I received. Anyone who's been through this recently I would love your help as I have very little time. Thank you

Hmm, I thought the email would specify that for you. I'm sure someone from France will be able to answer that.

Nothing else for her to fill out, just make sure to gather all the docs requested. You need to fill out the i134 though.

Sure,

But I suggest both of you also spend some time reading the forum and guides here. It's empowering to be well-informed.

Yes, you, the US fiancé/sponsor fills in the i134 and supplies supporting documents.

It seems you're also requested to send an updated letter of intent.

She needs her birth certificate and recent police record (+ PC from any other country she's lived in longer than one year).

You both need divorce decrees for any previous marriages.

+ Anything else the Paris consulate asks for

Ok thank you. We never been married so we don't need the divorce forms. Do we need to have a marriage certificate right now? Isn't that for when she comes we get that? Also will the embassy be able to send a copy of all the i129 I sent them to her? This is the day that we will be working on it and I leave tomorrow. I'm not sure if we will be able to get this done that fast. Than I'm gone for a month

No, you must absolutely not have a marriage certificate. If you did, you would be disqualified for the K1.

If you only have one day, then you should focus on getting the i134 and supporting docs + letter of intent to her. The rest she can handle on her own from here.

I doubt the embassy will provide her with a copy of the paperwork you filed, but she should know what's in there, right?

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Sorry for all these posts there all coming to me at different times. Does she need to schedule a medical right now and does she just go to her doctor and ask for an examination?

Am I the one to schedulE the interview as well?

I'll try to answer what I can:

She will book her own interview and medical. As I said, from here on out, she can do thisby herself. She is the visa applicant.

There is a designated panel physician in Paris that she needs to see. Information is available either from others on here, or from the embassy.

She needs a police certificate and evidence of ongoing relationship.

She does not need to write another letter of intent, showing up to the interview should be proof enough.

Read the guides on here for what supporting docs you should append the i134. Consult other Paris filers for local details.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Ok thank you! I got something from the NVC that told me to prepare for the visa interview but I guess they meant for her to prepare? I will call the embassy tomorrow and ask them about the medial. She speaks good English but I'm just worried she will have difficulty understanding someone speaking English to her too fast. I just sent her the i134 and letter of intent. Does she send it to the address that was on the top of the email I sent you? So she wont have any copies of the i129f with her either....

No, she will bring all the documents to the interview. Do not send anything in advance!

They will speak at a pace she can understand. They are used to dealing with french applicants, remember :-) If she needs a translator, it is possible to bring one.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.
