Hi,

I mailed (registered post) my I-130 package on the 5th of March to the USCIS office in Frankfurt , and have yet to have a response from them. My credit card was billed the $190 on the 14th, so it seems that they are processing it. Is this normal? Checking out other people's timelines, Frankfurt usually takes just a few days to send out the NOA1. Should I e-mail them?

There having billed my CC is a good sign, right? At least it means that the package is complete, if I understand the procedure correctly.

Also, it looks like we might need to move earlier than we'd anticipated--July instead of September. Is there any use explaining that to the USCIS people, or would it fall on deaf ears?

Thanks,

Walter

The fact that they charged your credit card it means they started to process your I-130. If they need something else from you, they will let you know.

You can email USCIS at uscis.frankfurt@dhs.gov (hmmmmm...they didn't answer me back) or call them at 06975352233 they answer the phone Monday, Tuesday or Thursday between 13.30-15.00.

It takes between 60-90 days I-130 to be processed in Frankfurt.

Walter,

I don't think this is at all unusual. If you look at my timeline, we mailed my husband's I-130 in early December. They charged my credit card about ten days later. Then, we didn't hear about approval until March 1st. The one thing that slowed ours up was that they did request evidence that our relationship is bonafide, but we mailed that as soon as they asked for it. In any case, Frankfurt looks like they've been kind of slow. You can email them as MayDayDas said, and at least ask them which I-130s they're currently processing (they won't tell you anything about yours since you don't have a case number yet...but they can say, "we're working on 130s we received in early February," or something like that. You can, in the interim, work on all the other parts of the application, the DS-230, the I-864, and the medical exam. That will help speed your process. When we got approval as of February 24th, we sent the checklist back, saying we had all our other materials, and my husband's interview is scheduled for this Monday, April 2nd. So it can happen pretty fast, but July might be a tight squeeze. Of course, now that they seem to have sorted out the Adam Walsh thing, they may be moving a lot more quickly.

Best of luck!

Mary
