Here is what you need to do because I have had to do it.

Write 2 letters 1 to NVC and USCIS your case number date the letter. You can also for good measure also send 1 to US embassy in his country.

In the letter STATE I am withdrawing my petition for:

Need both of your full names Case number or s'

Addresses

Birth dates

Marriage date

Send both return receipt

Print sign it mail them.

By the way I was told by an attorney they don't have to withdraw.

Might need an attorney to cancel I think he had to cancel mine as nothing happened from those letters. Try calling the NVC see if they have any information.
