My now wife, completed her medical December of 2015, had her interview shortly after and was approved, arrived in US March of 2016 and we are now starting the AOS process. Everything we had read on here and the AOS websites said her medical was valid for 12 months, but we've just looked at her medical paperwork from Knightsbridge in the UK and it says only valid for 6 months. How could it only be valid for 6 months when she may not have even been able to enter the US in those 6 months?

Anyone know a clear answer to this? We were going to get her vaccine info transcribe by a civil surgeon here but are now concern she may need a new medical?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the 6-month validity pertains to the the time limit that the person can use the K-1 visa to enter the United States, while the 12-month validity refers to the time limit that it can be used as a requirement for AOS.

If you have not entered the U.S. yet after 6 months have passed after your medical exam, you will need to redo the medical exam and maybe reapply for the visa.

If you have already entered the U.S. but have not filed your AOS after a year has passed after your medical exam, then you will need to redo the medical exam and have it transcribed by a civil surgeon.

Again, someone correct me if I got it wrong, especially with the 6-month thing.
