Unfortunately yes- USCIS is NO HELP. Speaking to a tier 2 was useless and they literally told me- DONT CALL US. we don't have it we approved it we can't see anything in the system of when it was sent its not here.... I call foul but then again idk.

NVC also just responds with- you can email us a scanned copy of your noa2 and we will look into it after 6 weeks. Well it has been over 6 weeks and no one has responded and I've sent 2 emails. They also said if it wasn't found after 6 weeks - then you can take other steps. I asked what other steps? They said call USCIS. (Which I did- no help)

I've read a lot that in the past usually when it takes this long the case is either : a) still sitting at CSC on someone's desk collecting dust and no one ever bothered to send it b) accidentally sent to NRC (national records center) where cases that are closed or finished with are sent for storage c) accidentally sent to an off storage site or local office d) collecting dust in a box at NVC

All these are possibilities and that's why I decided to contact my senators office to see if there is any possibility they can help and put some pressure on getting my case sent out or locating it for us if it I indeed lost.

USCIS keeps telling me do not call us unless it's been 90 days. It' will be 50 days in a day or 2 and I'm not taking the chance of waiting after 90 days then getting my senators office involved I would rather it be located sooner than later.

Ofcourse there is no guarantee of how fast or how efficient my senators office will be or how helpful in the matter but I guess all I can do is wait at this point since literally that's what USCIS and NVC keep telling me to do- is WAIT.

Going to call NVC now and see if a miracle happened and they have my case.

I truly pray for all cases to get there in a timely manner and appreciate your concern it's very sweet. I know how hard it is to be away from loved ones and this is honestly to me a tragedy- even if I haven't been waiting 90 days lol.

I called the NVC again last night... I am almost positive that I spoke to the same guy who I had spoken to previously (his name is Dean). This time he did tell me the whole "could take up to 6 weeks" thing, nonetheless, he still told me that I should try them again in a week or so, so I guess that is still promising?

On the bright side, people with NOA2s of 7/1 and 7/5 have gotten their numbers, so we know that they have definitely started on July :)

I saw that as well- people with early July approvals are getting at nvc. I'm so happy for them and I do believe the 6 week thing is Bologna because so many people after my approval date reached NVC with the backlog within like 30 days or so.

Unfortunately the 6 week thing did apply to me as I'm on my 7th week waiting for NVC to receive my case. It's very hard I thought I would've been there a LONGGGGG time ago. Guess my luck wasn't so great lol.

Charming12- it's superrrrr frustrating. That might be it- but I've seen approvals a month or two before mine with same country and they didn't take this long so it can be anything at this point.

Thanks for your well wishes dear

Does anyone know if USCIS sends out notification (email/text) or if the USCIS website updates when they send the petition to the NVC?

Unfortunately if you are at California service center - no they do not. You just have to continue calling NVC

Still waiting for nvc case number too which nvc number are you using to call?

I use 603-334-0888 but either number will allow you to ask about your case.

When did you receive your NOA2?
