Hello VJ members,

Has anyone from July NOA2 got any info about their cases, I mean are they already in NVC or still in transition period?

Probably not many, no. As it takes about 30-35 days for the case to reach NVC and be registered. July approvals will soon get there though.

Hi everyone, I received my NOA2 on July 14 and received a Post Decision Activity email at the same time.

I called the NVC on Friday (8 days after NOA 2) just to see what they would say, but as expected they did not have my case, however, they said that I should try back this week once I hit the 2 week mark.

It looks like most people have been waiting 3-4 weeks to get their case numbers, but I am thinking that perhaps due to these Post Decision Activity emails, maybe people with July approvals can expect a shorter wait time?! I might be overly optimistic, but you never know! :)

Oh wow Chipmunk that's amazing news! Finally they didn't give someone the "call back in 6 weeks speech"!!! Keep us updated on when you hear something. Your NOA 2 is a week ahead of mine, so I'm curious to know! Fingers crossed we are all lucky, and don't have to wait as long as some of the ones before us (I hate that for them).

I'm surprised they didn't tell you 6 weeks! That's a good sign. I have a NOA2 Date of June 8th, and NVC still doesn't have my case. They kept giving me the 6 weeks run around, and guess what? I'm PAST 6 weeks. They tell me there is nothing they can do but to email NVCresearch... Which I have twice- no response. Then they say- idk what to tell you. :( crazy! Maybe since they told you 2 weeks it means they're kinda moving along now? Maybe I'll get there soon I hope!

Wow that is awful! I am sorry to hear that- I read somewhere that if it has been over 6 weeks, NVC well have you fax your NOA2 to them and will assign your case number from that... Might be worth asking if you can do that next time you call!

No problem! The only reason I know that is because I saw someone post it on Visa Journey so I don't know how reliable that information is but certainly worth a try... Good luck!

That's awful that you've been waiting that long. I didn't realize there were people still waiting beyond the 6 weeks. That's crazy that USCIS hasn't mailed it in that time. I know there was a slow down, but geez. You're approved, just mail the dang thing! I'm so sorry to hear that, I hope you get a case number today, you more than deserve it after that wait.

Thank you so much. It's been really hard and I'm not a super emotional but today I actually cried lol, ALOT. I'm just confused and want answers and ofcourse waiting this long I'm thinking of the worst- I feel like it's lost or something and will take forever for them to admit it and relocate it etc.

I hope I'm there and I hope your all there really soon too! No one deserves to wait this long- it should NOT take this long!

So much of this process is beyond our control. That along with the drawn out wait times is a whole other type of stress level. I was just snooping in one of the other monthly forums for updates, and read more of your story. Unless I've understood wrong, USCIS says they don't have your case, and NVC doesn't either, or its in storage? I got confused, I'm sorry. And someone actually told you they would freeze your file right before it went haywire? I feel so badly for you and your loved one for going through this nightmare. I'm just shocked by what you've been through. I understand the point of extra checks for certain countries, but even then an approval shouldn't be issued until it's totally approved and ready to be sent. Please, let us know how things move along for you. You have our prayers for answers, and success quickly!
