I found out yesterday my I-485 got transferred from NBC to a local office for processing BTW it's not my local office but a local office in Texas whereas I'm in Virginia. My question is has anyone experienced this? If they have did your interview get waived since it was at a different local office? Did your case eventually get transferred to your actual local office? If you got an interview did you have to go to your interview in the other state? Or did they make the interview with your local office?

My last update was "May 9th fingerprint fee recieved" even with my case being transfered my status has not updated

April 8th: AOS sent

April 11th: Recieved at Chicago lockbox [Day 0]

April 25th: NOA1 date (never recieved e-notifications) [Day 14]

April 29th: NOA1 hard copy recieved in the mail [Day 18]

May 9th: "Fingerprint fee recieved" [Day 28]

May 12th: Reciept number's start working on USCIS case status website [Day 31]

May 20th: Biometrics letter recieved [Day 39]

June 1st: Biometric appointment [Day 51]

November 12th: Interview letter received [Day 216]

December 1st: Interview day! APPROVED [Day 235]

December 5th: Case status changed from "fingerprint fee received" to "Approved" post dated Dec 1st [Day 239]

No idea but as mine is in Irving TX and our field office is Charlotte NC I'll be watching with interest for answers :)

Ps. The last update online was RFE was mailed on May 12th

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

My husband went to an infopass appointment today and found out that about 12 days ago our case was transferred from NBC to the Reno, NV office (our local field office is Washington, DC). We filed June 2015 and got a waiver letter September 2015, but haven't had any movement on the case whatsoever since filing. We are hopeful that this means something will be happening soon!

my understanding which could be completely wrong is that if you get transferred to a local office that means you will indeed get an interview for sure... with regaurds to where the interview takes place if a different local office processes your case then i dont have a clue... I'm really hoping i still get waived tho!!! worst case if i had to fly out to texas for an interview its not the end of the world but im hoping it gets transferred upto norfolk, VA asap... I emailed my lawyer's assistant yesterday she but forwarded my emaiil to my lawyer so i should hear what he has to say on monday or tuesday
