Hi,

Me and my partner have been together for 2 years now. He lives in the USA on an E-2 visa, and I live in the UK.

After a long hard 2 years we are finally getting married. Therefore I will be applying for an E-2 visa as his spouse.

Has anyone been through this process? If so, can anyone provide any advice on the process?

Thanks

Katie

**** Moving from Introductions to Work Visa for more answers *****

Welcome! I know two couples who have gone through this process, and the spouse's part was easy. Don't forget you still need EAD (work permit) before starting work yourself, if you choose to work in the USA.

Thank you for your reply!

Yes I do plan on working so I will be applying for the EAD once I'm in the USA which I understand can take up to 90 days to receive.

Do you know whether they will want to see air tickets from both of us to prove trips back and forth? Just want to be as prepared as possible!

Thanks

Marriage Certificate, this is a temporary work visa, nothing more.
