Good morning everyone,

Just a quick note to share our experiences when we flew to Mexico City from Atlanta. My wife's conditional green card expired in April and she has the one year extension letter when we filed to remove conditions. We had zero problems with the airlines and leaving Atlanta and zero problems with the airlines and leaving Mexico City. I will say the airline ticket agent looked at us strange when he saw the green card had expired but he then looked at the one year extension letter and zero problems. We flew Southwest which does not have a non stop from Mexico City to Atlanta so we had to make connections at Hobby airport in Houston. Zero problems at passport control with the extension letter. I have never gone through Hobby passport control and I was super impressed. The whole process took about 11 minutes. A far cry from passport control in Atlanta where depending on the time of day and day of the week can take an hour or more.
