I had my interview on 12 July in Islamabad Pakistan. Ny wife she was with me as well CO asked how we met. How often she visit that is it and after this he kept ny passport and asked everything looks ok to him and he is satisfied with everything abd they need nothing from us and I should get call within 30 days and put me on Ap..he did not give us any slip.

We are worried are they going to deny our visa and how long will ap last

AP is normal procedure for males from Pakistan. Your flag shows Germany? Are you German or Pakistani? In any event, AP is pretty much standard for almost every Pakistani male going through this process. It can last weeks. It can last months. It has even been known to last years. Each case is different. I'm sorry that you will have to wait after waiting so long already.

Each case is different. I'm sorry that you will have to wait after waiting so long already.

Although many people from Pakistan do end up in AP, I would not at all classify it as a normal procedure for males from Pakistan. The majority of people, men too, make it though without AP. It is FAR from standard for every Pakistani male going through the process. I did not have AP, nor did most people (men too I know)

There are two types of AP, the first shows up for everyone after the interview while they are actively working on your visa. This AP is quite short. I would not panic yet; it has only been a week and a half since your interview. Although it typically takes less time, give it the full 30 days and just keep checking your status in the meantime to see if it updates to issued. The second type of AP is real AP and can last from a couple months to years. IF your visa is not issued after a month has passed, politely send an inquiry to the embassy to check the status of your case. At that time, if they say you are in background checks, security checks, administrative processing....then there is not much you can do unfortunately. In that case, for peace of mind, send an inquiry to the embassy once every 90 days to check on your case. You will be contacted during AP if anything is required from you. I do know of some cases where the IO will indicate your visa has been approved and people do end up in AP (although this is rare).

Also, as has been pointed out, it would be quite helpful if you change your flag to the Pakistani flag.

Yes I'm from Pakistan I will update my profile. CO did not ask many questions in fact only three. All directed towards both my wife and I. After. Each said questions the co mostly was typing On his computer. When the co finished interview he stated everything looked good to him,and we do not need to take further action, and our case was being sent to AP, he kept my passport and said to expect the processing should be over in 30 days and.to expect a call. My wife not satisfied bluntly asked if case was approved he said yes repeated that everything looks good,that he is making strong notes.on our file that he was satisfied. I asked if AP was for security check, he response was sort of, we are not allowed to talk on it. On side note when given original marriage certificate he never opened just grabbed it. Typed on computer looked in our file and.handed it back.
