We mailed my AOS packet today!!!
Fingers crossed for a quick approval with no interview but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it!

My only question is with how the forms were packaged. I had them fastened off with paperclips to make it easier for the officer who reviews it to be able to flip through it easily. I tried to fasten the three forms in 3 separate little bundles but the I-485 was just so thick that I had to hold it together in two separate paper clips (Not sure if this is making sense, just imagine the I-485 fastened with a first paperclip, the evidence for the I-485 held with a second paperclip, the I-131+supporting documents held with a 3rd paperclip, and the I-765 held together with a 4th paperclip. So, 3 forms....4 groups of paper)

All this to say, I requested tracking at the UPS store and the lady behind the counter put it in a flat rate box instead of the envelope that I had it packed in. It did not fit well in the box so she turned half the papers upside down so that not all the paperclips were in the top right corner of the box (some were in the bottom left)
So now I'm afraid this might cause confusion when they open the package that the I-485 will be packed half, right side up, and half upside down.

Do you think this will be an issue at all?? At first it didn't feel like a big deal, but now it's all I can think about!

  • On Oct 13th AOS status was updated to say that a notice was returned due to post office being unable to deliver it. Tier two told me that it was biometrics or NOA1 (even though I had received both before this date).

  • A few weeks later I received a notice dated Nov 10th, in regards to my call about the Oct 13th notice. The new notice said that there were no RFE's or withholding on my case. So still not sure what this Oct 13th notice was about.

  • Received a letter from a NY office on Dec 23rd (dated Dec 10) stating that my medical was over 1 year old. (At this point my medical was only 7 months old)

  • Teir two submitted an internal service request to which I got a response telling me that I need to respond to RFE ASAP

  • Submitted another service request on 1/6/17. To which I got a response on 1/19/17 stating that my case was pending and is outside of processing time (no mention of RFE)

I think they will be able to figure it out and flip the bundles over so the paperclips are on top. They will be taking those off and placing the papers in folders how they want them anyhow.

Hi JessDak. Do not worry. This will not be the issue. They will reorganize your application the way they want it when they receive it.
