Sorry if this had already been asked a lot but I'm hoping for some answers on here. I received something in my email that says "INTERVIEW PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

FOR IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICANTS --- K VISAS" is this the packet 3 that I received in my email? I got it but my fiancé didn't. Do I just forward it to her for her to do? Also for the DS-160 form do I fill out or is it the beneficiary that does this? I see other forums of people talking about the DS-2001 and I didn't see anything of that in the email? Also I got something in the mail from NVC to go online and apply for K visa and prepare interview. I do this now? I'm sorry with all the confusion I'm having and was hoping for the ones who been through this can help me with these step by steps with what I'm recieving. We are almost finish and I don't want to take to long by not knowing or doing it wrong. Thank you so much for all the help.

Yes, you can give the instructions to the foreign fiance(e). They are the ones that are applying for the K-1 visa, and they fill out the DS-160. Follow the instructions from your consulate for the rest of this process > https://fr.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/

I know I'm not at that stage of the process yet but I've been wondering the same thing! Like the very small details at the end of the process are so blurry to me and that's when you don't wanna lose any time!

Anyway, good luck to you guys! I'd love to know how things went! Did she get her medical done already?

Oh and if she's not from Paris and has a hard time getting around here and stuff, feel free to ask me any questions you want :)

I just want to make sure that this email I got is indeed the PACKET 3. It says this in the beginning of the email "INTERVIEW PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

FOR IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICANTS --- K VISAS" and than says step 1 to step 3. So I sent this to my fiancé and I am going to help her now. She will do the DS-160. Can anyone please list the steps they through as well to help their fiancé. I know I got the instructions but I feel it's easier when someone who's done it can tell me their step by step and what to fill out and complete. Thank you so much for your help!

Yes. That is what is commonly referred to as Packet 3. It contains instructions as to the next steps, what documents to secure and additional information that is important to the interview. The beneficiary is the one who completes the DS-160, as it is illegal for the petitioner to complete the document.

You may want to go to the sub-forum for France where others who have gone before you can help with the "next" steps.

So my fiancé will complete the DS-160 online. Than what is everything she needs to send to the US EMBASSY? When will she be doing the medical? She hasn't got any information in the mail and the instructions I got are confusing me and it's stressful. How much is the fee? I'm leaving for work offshore and won't have cell service and we have only a few days for me to help complete this before I leave. All help please and thank you

I received this in my email but my fiancé the beneficiary did not. Do I send this to her to get started.? These instructions are all very confusing and really need help exactly on what to be doing here to help her. I only have a few days to help before I leave for work offshore with no cell service for a month. I really appreciate for anyone to help me with their step by step so I can have her getting this out before I go. Thank you so much!

You need to head on over to the Embassy website for France: https://fr.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/

Scroll down the page to the instructions for the K-1. Read the following:

1.Wait to receive notification from Embassy Paris that your file has been received from the National Visa Center (NVC). Follow the instructions carefully.

2.Register, pay the visa fee, and schedule a K visa appointment through the online appointment system.

3.Appear for your interview appointment at the Embassy. See prohibited items.

4.If issued, the Embassy will ship the visa and documents to you via courier (residents of France) or Chronopost (Portugal/Azores) in approximately 7-10 business days.

5.If not issued, the Consular Officer will provide you with further information.

Go to http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/95-europe-eurasia-except-the-uk-and-russia/ and ask your specific questions to that group. Many have passed through the process for France and can help you. I can't help you any more then this as I am more versed on the process in the Philippines.

Good luck
