Hi there! I'm from Quezon City and we live in Winston Salem. Where is she from?

Ahhh ok. My wife is from Davao City. We plan on moving back to the Triad and don't know spefically where either in Winston or G'boro yet. We want somewhere close to my family but far enough away to keep the distance if you know what I am saying. How do you like Winston so far?

From where we live it's close to everything. The houses are not that expensive compared to houses in CA lol and it's pretty much a quiet city. There's enough very good Asian stores and a couple of really good Filipino restaurants so you can tell your wife that! Lol. I have a couple of Filipino friends but they live in Raleigh so it's really from us.

From where we live it's close to everything. The houses are not that expensive compared to houses in CA lol and it's pretty much a quiet city. There's enough very good Asian stores and a couple of really good Filipino restaurants so you can tell your wife that! Lol. I have a couple of Filipino friends but they live in Raleigh so it's really from us.

Yeah I am born and raised in Greensboro so we are moving back there to be around my family and because I got a job there as well. She likes it out here where we live na due to the large Filipino presence in the towns surrounding us, so she can get her cravings for suman, fried fish. But the only problem is that houses here in Pasadena START at $500k for a 2 bed room crappy house. As you know for that price in NC you can find something really nice. So that is why we never bought a house out here but we will in NC.

I see. There is definitely a huge difference between the number of Filipinos here in the triad compared there in CA. I've learned to cook Filipino food because there's not much but what we have though is good. I work in Greensboro and they have a big Asian store here with lots of Filipino food

There's one really good Filipino restaurant called Joel's Asian Grill at 110 Marketplace Ave, Mooresville. Then the big Asian store that I love going to is called Super G Mart at 4927 W Market St, Greensboro...

I have been to the Super G market, and it is about on par with what we call 99 Ranch Market here in the West Coast. It is an Asian Market primarily designed to cater to Chinese or Vietnamese. It is still good for a number of stuff that is prevalent throughout E/SE Asia though. They used to have Filipino restaurant on the upper level but I think it's closed now, the only Filipino store I know of is on the south end of High Point Rd/Gate City Blvd.

Yes! I just discovered that yesterday! It's called Mequeni. I'll be checking it out this Sat. I'm so excited!

Let me know if it is any good or not. I discovered it a couple months back but never was able to go there when we went back to NC in April.

Hi,

I just moved from Makati to Winston-Salem. Hope I can meet filipinos in the area.

Best place to find Filipino's is around Hospitals, Catholic Churches and Asian Markets.
